MY STEP 2: ACCOUNTABILITY. ❤️‍🩹

God wasn’t silent. 🤫

I was NEGOTIATING with what He had already revealed. 🛑

BABYYYYYYYYY… 😮‍💨

In Step 1, I talked about the voices I had to leave behind.

Step 2? Step 2 demands a different kind of honesty. 🪞

Because it’s one thing to heal from what they said to you…

It’s another thing to take accountability for where you stayed. 💔

I was shown my hand at the very beginning of the game.

I looked right at the cards… ♣️♠️♦️♥️

I knew I was holding a bad hand… 🃏

And instead of folding, I kept playing.

That is the hardest pill to swallow. That’s where real accountability begins. 💊

The friendships showed me the BETRAYAL long before it reached me. 🚩

When people felt comfortable bringing me everybody else’s business, laughing and saying, “Girl, you’re not gonna believe this…”—I should’ve known my turn was coming.

The relationships showed me what it was long before I finally walked away. ⏳

The business showed me months before I walked away that I was trying to revive something God had already told me to release.

Different situations. Same lesson:

I KNEW‼️

But I kept betting anyway. 🎰

I bet my time. ⏰

I bet my peace. 🕊️

I bet my money. 💰

I bet my loyalty. 🤝🏽

I bet MYSELF. 💔

And EVERY TIME life showed me the same cards, I lied to myself.

I told myself that if I just loved harder, waited longer, worked more or prayed differently… God would change what He was already telling me to release. 🙏🏽

WHEWWWWWW‼️😮‍💨

Hear me clearly: Accountability is NOT saying their betrayal was my fault. 🚫

Accountability is admitting I saw the warning signs and chose to stay at the table anyway. 🪑

I called it loyalty.‼️

I called it commitment.‼️

I called it seeing the best in people.‼️

I called it refusing to give up.‼️

But staying wasn’t strength—it was my refusal to accept what I already knew. 💔

So ask yourself today:

How much have you lost trying to win with a hand you knew was dead from the start? 🃏

How many more signs are you asking God to send simply because you didn’t like the answer attached to the first one? 🚩

A bad hand will NEVER become a winning hand just because you’ve sat at the table for a long time. 🎯

Today, I forgive the woman who stayed… ❤️‍🩹

But I will no longer lie and say she didn’t know.

She knew. ❗️

She was just terrified to fold. 🥺

STEP 1: I stopped seeing myself through their eyes. 👁️

STEP 2: I stopped pretending I didn’t see what God had already shown me. 🙏🏽

And baby… I didn’t lose when I walked away from that table.

FOLDING WAS MY FIRST WIN. 🙌🏽🏆
