1. Iām 26 and Iām not embarrassed to admit that I know exactly what I want out of life. I know who I am, what Iām good at, and what I want to do. I just didnāt realize how many times Iād have to start over to build it.
2. Iāve always known beauty was where I belonged. I love creating, making people feel beautiful, and building something of my own. This business has been a dream Iāve been passionate about for years.
3. But Iāve let it consume me before. Iāve burned myself out, let my emotions take over, lost faith in myself and even lost faith in my business. There were times when the way I was handling everything almost killed the dream I cared so much about.
4. A huge part of that has been learning how my ADHD actually affects me. How I hyperfocus, how hard multitasking and following through can be, how quickly I can become overwhelmed, and how that affects the way I show up for myself and the people I love.
5. Managing a business while trying to understand all of that is hard. Some days I feel unstoppable. Other days Iām completely drained, sitting hunched for hours, destroying my body and wondering how Iām supposed to keep pouring into everything when I have nothing left.
6. Iām learning to stop looking at the things that have happened in my life as things that happened to me. Iām starting to see them as things that happened for me ā to teach me, humble me, redirect me, and show me where I still have room to grow.
7. Iām learning to pour more into myself instead of only pouring into my business. To be more present with the people I love. To understand myself instead of constantly fighting myself. To find balance instead of letting one part of my life consume everything else.
8. I donāt have it figured out. Iāve had to start over more than once, and maybe thatās okay. Maybe every version of me was learning something the next one would need.
I know what I want. I know who I am. Iāll never miss out on the things that are meant for me.
Iām thankful for the experiences that are shaping me into my highest self, and Iām excited to see where this journey will take me. š¤
