How can I live my fullest life?

Do you ever ask yourself these types of questions?👇🏽

How can I make today better than yesterday?
How can I live my best life?
What do I love about myself?
How can I make myself a priority so I have more to give to others?
What can I do to laugh a lot today?
Is my purpose the life I’m living now?

Do you read these questions above and get excited for a deeper level of thinking??
Do you love to process your thoughts and others and try to understand them?

I absolutely do!
These are just a few questions from my new study curriculum to be a Life Coach!
Took this picture when I received my books in the mail. It’s seriously one of the best choices I’ve made in my life. Learning how our minds work is life changing!
When we are able to process our thoughts and feelings and separate truth from fiction, there’s no holding us back. We can make the changes necessary to create the lives we want!

Relating to nutrition, ask yourself.

What can I do to feel my emotions instead of eating them today?

If we slow down for a moment to think about our thoughts, it may surprise you to realize they are just that. Thoughts, not always fact. Feelings which we think are truth because we have created strong neural pathways with the same thoughts over and over again that it just becomes an auto pilot reaction. Example, I’m sad- I should eat treats. I’m angry, food or social media will buffer the real emotions I’m avoiding.
Could you be over exercising to avoid dealing with other issues in your life? Ask yourself some deep questions. Respond to the questions on this post.

How are you doing? Have you learned something new about yourself?
Is this interesting to you too? Would you like me to keep sharing while I’m learning more about how our minds think?👇🏽

Let’s end with one more question for you that I want you to answer below.

How can I honor my body today?

I’ll start in comments.👇🏽

Choose your hard.

Easy doesn’t bring growth. Save this quote because it’s definitely a great reminder that hard is worth the effort and the reward is sweet.

What is one challenging thing you have experienced that you wouldn’t change because of the growth you have gained?👇🏽👇🏽

You know that feeling when..

Your heart starts beating a little faster and you get a little hot. I was sitting in church today and I had the thought to get up and share my testimony. Every first Sunday of the month we get some time open for us in the congregation to walk up to the pulpit and share our beliefs. I was pretty content to just sit and listen until that feeling came..
Long story short, apparently I wasn’t the only one who felt that way and time was up before I could get off my seat.

So I’ll share a bit here. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I’m a Christian. I believe in Jesus Christ and God.
I have my trials just like anyone else does, but I’m grateful for the foundation of my beliefs that give me strength in the hard and the good times.
I know God is unwavering and has my back always. That gives me comfort when I’ve felt so alone in my life. This is a health and fitness account, but it wouldn’t be true to me if I didn’t also share this portion that makes me whole. Physical, mental and spiritual strengths are what I strive to practice and work on daily.
So even though this day is almost over. I didn’t want it to end without following through with sharing a part of my testimony and what gives me real joy in my life.

Thanks for taking the time to read and being here on my journey.
What’s helps you beyond fitness as a rock in your foundation?👇🏽👇🏽

This was exactly what I needed to hear:

Jeff and Our youngest were on a hunting trip in Montana the last few days and got home a couple nights ago. Our girls are busy this weekend at home with plans and that means we are staying home with them. Which translates to me: No date night with this guy😭.

How do you water and feed your relationships? Do you date your spouse/partner? Do you make it a priority to carve time out and without distractions and just be with each other?
Back to my beginning phrase. I told my husband this morning I guess we miss our on date night this weekend and his response that I needed to hear was. “We can go in a lunch date tomorrow.”
Small pivots but it doesn’t always have to be night time, doesn’t even have to be the same day- maybe it’s mid week. Doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive. A walk around the block counts as quality time.

Let’s compare this to our workout and nutrition plans for a bit. If we miss leg day or don’t get the full 30min-1 hr workout, we have not failed. Your healthy lifestyle isn’t over. If you are fretting the holidays because it’s different from your usual routine. Don’t ! Work around it. Make small changes. Enjoy the moments that you have. Enjoy the company and make wise choices. It’s not all or nothing. It’s make what you have with what you got!

The key with relationships and healthy living overall is to not give up on ourselves. Sometimes that means peeling ourselves off the floor, allowing the feelings of anxiety and stress to be understood- then move through it.

Here’s to date nights and healthy choices. Through all of life’s beautiful changes.

Who’s going on a date this weekend and what are you doing??👇🏽👇🏽

Ever wonder why..

You aren’t drinking all your water every day? Why it feels so hard to simply pick up a water bottle, glass, mug and chug some H20?

Seems so simple right? But maybe it’s just not exciting enough? Maybe you need to add some strategies/systems to reach your goal?
A goal without a plan to get there is just a faraway thought really.🤷🏽‍♀️

So here are the tools I use to elevate my drinking game and make me sooo much more successful than I was a few months ago when I would easily go through a day with only one glass of 💧 water!

Maybe these ideas can help you too👇🏽

Tips to drink your water:

💧have your gallon bottle out in plain sight all day. (When you see it, you think about it).
💧use stevia and fruit to flavor your drinks
💧buy a big bag of 🍋 lemons, peel and freeze them to add to your water in the blender. (Tastes so good!)
💧true lemon stevia sweetened packets are the best quick and yummy flavoring (my fave flavors are lemon and raspberry lemonade)
💧hot chocolate drinks(hot drinks count as water intake) with skinny syrups for extra flavoring are the 💣! Check out my donut and salted caramel flavors.
💧add protein powder and collagen to your drinks for extra flavor, protein and joint help.

And there you have it. My plan may or may not work for you. But hopefully it sparked some thoughts on how you can stay hydrated. Sometimes we think we are hungry , but we really just need water. Hydration helps curb your appetite helps basically everything in our bodies to function better, seeing as we are made up of 60% water.

Is it pretty easy for you to stay hydrated? Why or why not?👇🏽

Ever wonder why it’s so easy to go to the negative?

We as humans find it almost second nature to fall back on self doubt and negative thoughts. It’s the easy thing to do and we like easy.
It’s easy to believe negatives are true In our minds.

Good thing we are resilient.
What if we were to feel, not just think about it, but actually feel and believe compliments when given to us. Or even a step further- give ourselves the compliment and believe it?

Has someone ever complimented you and you have downplayed the compliment in your mind with thoughts like:
They must say that to lots of people
That’s nice, but I’m not really like that.
There are so many other people better than me.
- you get the picture right?

But what if you changed your internal dialogue? And responded with thoughts like:
Yeah, thanks! I’ve worked hard for this and I’m excited to be where I’m at!
I love who I’m becoming and where I am in the process. I’m learning a lot about myself in the process.

Mindset shift is pretty dynamic. See the person you are and know your worth. Amazing things can happen❤️

What is one compliment you can give yourself right now?👇🏽👇🏽

We need to talk…

Health and fitness is not a game of shame.
Shame if you miss a workout, shame if you overate. Shame if you didn’t drink all your water.
You fill in the blanks.

It’s not about feeling less than if you aren’t 💯 all in.
This is about finding your groove with what matters most in your life.
Enjoying being with your loved ones and creating a lifestyle that compliments your journey.
Accepting the very real feelings and emotions that come with change. Through allowing yourself to actually feel the happy and the negative you can truly move forward.
Many times we buffer our negative feelings with emotional eating/ screen time/shopping/drinking etc. because it feels temporarily good.

When we allow our bodies to feel and process negative emotion we can stop judging and resisting the feelings (eg. Misery, loneliness, self loathing, shame etc) we can realize it’s part of the human experience, it’s not as powerful as we think and they are only vibrations in our bodies.

Be willing to experience the ugly and welcome the negative emotions to be felt. In doing so, you can empower yourself and realize it’s more of the practice of avoiding and resisting negative feelings that’s harmful when replaced with buffering actions.

This is education, growth, bonding, learning, acceptance, movement and fueling with healthier habits physically and mentally.

We don’t diet, we learn to be aware of our bodies and minds and what uplifts us in both ways.

And most importantly, don’t give up on you.
You know yourself the best.
Don’t underestimate your intuitive mind and what you know will serve you best.
I’m here to help guide you!

☝🏽this is part of a message I felt I needed to share with my clients this morning and then realized it might benefit more of you.

Can you recognize in your life where you may be buffering (choosing short term happiness actions to avoid feeling the negative)to put a bandaid on what really needs to be addressed?👇🏽

Glutes/Shoulders/Core🔥

Been loving getting more detailed with muscle splits this week. My mind and body was ready for a change. The great thing about split workouts are, you can give those neglected spots a wake up call and fire those muscle fibers up.
I love feeling muscle soreness the next day or two in new areas that I haven’t felt in a while( delayed muscles soreness) Don’t be scared to feel muscle soreness, it’s an indication your muscles are tearing and repairing which equals growth!👍
Bust the myth that you are going to get huge and bulky. You would need to be having some hormone help for that and focused on more heavy lifting with less reps..

Okay check out my workout, tap and save so you can access it easily later. Loved this one. As always, you can do these with minimal equipment. No Bosu needed ( but I looove my Bosu) just grab a couple dumbbells. If you don’t have them as heavy as you like. Then slow down the tempo for more challenge (except for the snatches- they are a power move).

Workout (repeat 3-4 rounds)
1️⃣in and out squats 15-20
2️⃣sit ups 20
3️⃣seated dB Arnold press 12-15
4️⃣banded bridges 8-15
5️⃣single arm dB snatches 6-10 each
6️⃣band squat+ abduction 12-20 total

Health and fitness is fun, it also can become more than it needs to be in your mind. Remember there’s balance in all things and you do you. A little step everyday, just keep moving, adjusting and loving yourself in the process!

What does your Saturday movement look like?👇🏽
