Peaceful Oaks Homestead

When we say we believe in the power of elderberry syrup, we mean it. We are committed to keeping it in stock at The Benton Boutique so you can experience the benefits, too!

While you’re out doing your Christmas shopping, swing by and grab a jar. Wellness truly IS a gift.

✨

A 2020 review of 5 elderberry studies concluded that when taken within 48 hours of initial symptoms… elderberry reduces the length & severity of fever 🤒 , headache 🤕 , runny nose, & congestion associated with flu & colds. 🦠

DID YOU KNOW? The reason elderberries are so effective against allergies is the production of inflammatory cytokines. These cytokines produced have a specific effect on interactions and communication between cells which regulate the immune response.🤯🤯🤯

This event is happening THIS WEEKEND and I'm pretty confident you can knock out a lot of your Christmas shopping with all of the vendors that will be there! That's a win in my book. Another win? Shopping small and shopping local. I PROMISE we do a happy dance with every purchase you make.

I'll be sure to have that elderberry cooler stocked so you can stay on top of your wellness routine this holiday season, too.

Don’t forget to SAVE THE DATE!!! The Benton Boutique, The Dogwood Boutique, Cypress & Sage LLC, Sofia’s Closet, & a grand opening for The Little Divas Parties !!!

PJ's Coffee will be there & Santa Clause plus a ton of pop up vendors & permanent jewelry by Benton Bling & Things!!

𝗦𝗢𝗔𝗣 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗣 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗘𝗦 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘!

These soaps are finally done curing and this one needed it's own spotlight. It's that good.

The Heirloom Pumpkin scent is described as...
Spiced pumpkin, aged bourbon, clove, and rustic oak blend together for a scent rooted in fall tradition. It's golden fields, crisp air, and the warmth of something made by hand, passed down, and baked with love.

Limited (like reallllll limited) number of bars available. $7/bar

Scents available:
𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐞
𝐇𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐤𝐢𝐧
𝐇𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐚 (I will not be mad if you all don't buy these... these bars remind me of my childhood, driving through Hershey, Pennsylvania-- the sweetest place on earth--with the smell of chocolate wafting in the air....)
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐭
𝐁𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐦

All bars are handmade and hand cut. No artificial colors or unnecessary additives. Just the good stuff. I literally use our soap on everything from my face to my hair. I'm biased but I'm a fan.

Eucalyptus Mint Shower Steamers are also available for $3/each!

I heard a rumor that real fall weather may be coming soon! (please, Lord, let it be so...)

With cooler weather, we sometimes get more sniffles and coughs so I just restocked elderberry syrup at The Benton Boutique. Let's enjoy the fall season and make sure we're helping our bodies stay well.

When I tell you my office smells AMAZING, I'm not lying. Six new batches of goat milk soap are currently curing and will be available next month!

Here's a preview of what's coming up....

Our largest order ever! Over 130 shower steamers going out the door as Christmas gifts (so of course we had to design a cute gift tag to go with them)!

What a fun idea… and one we 100% plan on using ourselves. 🎄 🚿

Between the smell of shower steamers and this hot cocoa soap (which will legit need a “do not eat” sticker because it smells so good), I’m wishing my house always smelled like this!

𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨, “𝘞𝘩𝘰𝘮 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘨𝘰 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘜𝘴?” 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥, “𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘮 𝘐. 𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘦!” - 𝘐𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘢𝘩 𝟨:𝟪

𝐒𝐨𝐚𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞: 𝐀 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫
Our goat milk soap and shower steamers are BACK but this time we're using them to earn money for upcoming mission trips. ALL sale proceeds will be used to pay for mission trip expenses so that we can go out and share the love of Jesus (and a message of HOPE) with the people of New Orleans and Mexico.

As always, each batch is hand poured, hand mixed, hand cut....and the goats are even hand milked. This is ROUND ONE and we will have more options available later.

Currently available:
> Bay Rum (smells like Bay Rum from Dr. Squatch)
> Shave and a Haircut
> Sugar and Spice (1 bar remaining)
> Eucalyptus Mint Shower Steamers

Quantities are limited so if you see something you like, let me know ASAP. The suggested minimum donation for the soap is $7 and $3 for the shower steamers. (shipping available for an additional fee)

Thank you for your support!!!

I heard the words “stomach bug” and immediately made a fresh batch of elderberry syrup. 🥴

Don’t get caught without a jar of this stuff… and go ahead and start taking it BEFORE you think you need it.

As always, available at The Benton Boutique!

For those invested in the unlikely mother/daughter relationship on the homestead, this will be our last update.

Cookie Jones (🦃) was raised with love by her dear mother (🐓) and adopted into the chicken family. Cookie’s mother (referred to on the homestead as “White Chicken with Black Spots”) tended to her diligently until Cookie reached the teenage years. At this point, Cookie rebelled and refused to go to her room (aka: the coop). Her rebellion eventually led to her demise, as she slept perched on top of the coop, leaving her vulnerable and unprotected. We lost Cookie Jones. White Chicken with Black Spots seems to have not noticed.
