Your journey doesn’t have to be perfect to be working.
You don’t need to change everything overnight, follow someone else’s routine, or push your body to its limits. Start with one habit you can repeat: move when you can, nourish yourself consistently, and protect your strength along the way.
Less pressure. More nourishment. One strong choice at a time. 🌱
What’s one habit you know you can keep this week?

Weight health is not simply about eating less and exercising more.
Genetics matter. Hormones matter. Metabolism, medications, stress, sleep, and lifestyle all matter.
So before judging someone for using a GLP-1, remember: you don’t know their biology, their medical history, or the work they’ve already put in.
GLP-1s aren’t ā€œthe easy way out.ā€ For many people, they’re a tool that finally makes progress possible.
Less judgment. More compassion. Better health. šŸ¤

It's easy to treat the number on the scale as the only metric that matters, but that's actually the least useful one if you want this to work long-term.
What you track shapes how you adjust, and how you adjust shapes whether the results stick.

Dose and timing, hunger and fullness cues, protein and fiber, energy and strength, side effects, measurements, these all tell you more about how your body is responding than the scale ever will.
This is exactly why we've created the Maeva Journal, it's a guided journal made specifically for this, so you're not trying to remember what you ate three days ago or guessing whether that fatigue is normal.
A few minutes a day, and you actually have a record to bring to your prescriber or just to see your own patterns.
The goal isn't to obsess, it's to have enough data that you're making decisions based on how your body is actually responding, not just guessing.

This is not medical advice.

These meds work by slowing digestion and changing appetite signals, which is exactly why they're effective, and also where most of the side effects come from. Nausea, constipation (or the opposite), fatigue, muscle and hair loss, reflux, dehydration, all connected to the same mechanism, just showing up differently depending on the person.

None of this means GLP-1s are the wrong tool. It means going in informed, working with a prescriber, and building the habits, protein, strength training, hydration, that make the process smoother.

Swipe through for the breakdown and save for lateršŸ‘‰

! This is not medical advice talk to your prescriber about what's normal for you.

GLP-1s don’t cause muscle loss. Under-eating protein while losing weight fast does.
The confusion makes sense, studies show up to 25-40% of weight lost on GLP-1s can be lean mass. But that’s a correlation, not a mechanism. GLP-1s don’t target muscle. They suppress appetite.

Here’s the actual chain: less appetite → fewer calories → often not enough protein → your body pulls from muscle to make up the deficit. That’s not unique to GLP-1s. It happens with any rapid weight loss — bariatric surgery, crash diets, extreme calorie cuts. The drug isn’t the cause. The undereating is.

The fix isn’t stopping the medication. It’s protein intake (aim for 1g per lb of goal body weight) + resistance training 2-3x/week. Do both, and you preserve muscle while losing fat — same as anyone else losing weight quickly.
