If you know me, you know I am an open book, no question is ever too personal, and I am not easily offended or uncomfortable. I use the phrase “I know a thing or two, because I’ve seen a thing or two” multiple times a week at the ripe age of 25 because of everything I have learned from the array of people I have met over the years behind the chair. I have celebrated individuals wins, grieved people’s losses, offered help or a shoulder to cry on, showed up for kids birthdays, and so much more. Little did I know that my job behind the chair, would cultivate such strong relationships with my clients that it would give me more opportunities to help clients beyond making them feel beautiful. I am so grateful for all of the opportunities I have been given by this career, but I often fall far behind when it comes to taking care of myself. I wouldn’t trade what I do or the friendships I’ve made for the world, I just find myself questioning “how do I manage to do it all?”. So now it’s my turn to ask you a question - what is something you have implemented in your life that has helped you not lose sight of yourself? What do you do to “romanticize” your daily life? Big or small? Daily, weekly, monthly? Unhinged or “why didn’t I think of that” stupid simple?

Not going to lie - I was stressed after getting this text. Not only did I not have my usual time to stress before an install, but this was her WEDDING HAIR and I had to make it PERFECT with extensions that I had on hand. Blend? Seamless. Color? Malibu golden Barbie. Result? Perfection. 22” of perfection to be exact.

Perhaps the pressure isn’t there to break you. Perhaps it’s shaping you into something you could never have become without it. I love a challenge, I love my clients, I love my job, and I love making a vision come to life.

Recently had a guest come back 8 months since her last appointment and her color looked like this. I didn’t tone or gloss it here, literally JUST washed & trimmed it. Roughly 245 days since her last color and it STILL looks this good. That’s my definition of low maintenance color. 💅🏼
