You’re resilient.

What do you value? Who do you aspire to be amd what traits do you want to embody?

Value statements help you reach the destination by giving you a framework to operate consistently and faithfully in good and bad times, and anchor you in the difficult times.

If you have not taken the time to articulate your values, I’d encourage be you to do so. Write them down. Explain what they mean, and say them to yourself. You’ll see how you mindset changes and how your drive improves.

Yoooo. Let me introduce myself.

My name is Kreig. I’m a husband, dad, friend, ordained pastor, and licensed barber.

If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be cutting hair for a living, I simply wouldn’t have believed you.

For years, I served the local church in vocational ministry. Today, I still love and serve the church, but the Lord, in His providence, has given me a barber chair instead of a pulpit and small, unseen opportunities of service that support the greater mission of our church.

Has the journey been easy? Not at all.

There have been seasons of grief, uncertainty, and learning to let go of what I thought life and ministry would look like. Yet through every step, the Lord has been faithful. He has cared for my family, provided for our needs, and never left our side.

This barber chair has become more than a profession. It’s God’s provision for my family and an unexpected place of ministry. Every day, people from every walk of life sit in my chair, and reminded that some of the most impactful ministry moments happen in the most ordinary of moments.

I’ve learned over this last few years that God has not called me to predict the future. He has called me to be faithful where He has placed me.

So if you’re walking through an unexpected season while trying to faithfully steward what’s in front of you grieving what once was or what could have been, I hope you’ll join me.

Follow along as we pursue resilience, faithfulness, and service together. Whether we’re talking about barbering, ministry, family, or the ordinary moments God uses to shape us, my prayer is that every post leaves you loving Christ more and encourages you to be faithful right where He has you.
