Becoming a barber even with my RA diagnosis was definitely a choice. Some days are harder than others and some days are easier than others. I love my career and I want to be able to do this for as long as I can. I appreciate everyone always being so kind and understanding when I’m sick and listening to me when I gripe about my hard days and doctor appointments.

There are so many days that I just “grin and bear it” because that’s all I can do. RA is an invisible disability, so looking at me, yeah, I’m young and I “look fine” but it’s a constant struggle that I’m always hoping I can help educate people about because I’m always as real and open as I can be about it.
