House of Heavilin Beauty College was proud to be part of Operation Backpack 2026, providing 400 FREE haircuts, hairstyles and braiding services to members of our Kansas City community!

For us, beauty education has always been about more than what happens inside the classroom. It's about teaching our students how their skills can make a difference—and then giving them opportunities to actually go out and do it.

A huge THANK YOU to our House of Heavilin students, instructors and team members who donated their time and talents to serve so many families.

We also want to thank Giving Hope & Help, Mayor Pro Tem Ryana Parks-Shaw, and all of the sponsors, donors, partners and volunteers who came together to make Operation Backpack possible.

Together, this year's event provided thousands of backpacks, school supplies, grocery boxes, hygiene products, books, devices and other resources to local families—and we are incredibly grateful that House of Heavilin Beauty College could contribute in our own way.
