Hey!!! Ashiatsu will be launching in August! I wanted to get on here and educate those of you who are not familiar with Ashiatsu 🤗
Ashiatsu barefoot massage provides deep, pain-free tissue compression and spinal decompression. Your therapist uses their feet while holding overhead bars for balance. This technique reduces chronic pain, improves flexibility, and accelerates relaxation with much less soreness than traditional deep tissue.
Ashiatsu barefoot massage offers several specific advantages:Deep Pressure Without Pain: Thumbs and elbows can feel sharp. A foot provides a broad, even surface. You get a much deeper massage with very little poking or bruising.
Spinal Decompression: The therapist uses gravity and their body weight to perform long, sweeping strokes. This lengthens your spine and stretches your muscles.
Better Flexibility: Lengthened muscle fibers and manipulated fascia (the web-like connective tissue covering your muscles) help your body move better.
Deep Relaxation: Long, rhythmic strokes turn on your parasympathetic nervous system. This is the "rest and digest" mode that rapidly lowers your stress and cortisol levels.
Ashiatsu is not for you; if you have the following contradictions:
Pregnancy
Blood clot risks- DVT
Medication use- blood thinners or injection steroid in the last 7 days
Bone or joint issues
Recent surgeries in the past 6-12 months ( knees, hips, abdomen & spine)
Implants ( breast implants in the past 9-12 months )
Uncontrolled high blood pressure
