The Beauty Alcove
I'm a Certified Trichologist, dedicated to helping people on their hair regrowth journey with a holistic, whole-body approach. See you soon!
My treatments are non-invasive, nurturing, and designed to restore not just your hair, but your confidence and well-being. At The Beauty Alcove, we believe that healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp, and true beauty comes from nurturing both your hair and your overall well-being. As a scalp care and hair loss specialist, I offer personalized treatments that promote a healthy scalp environment a
Psoriasis can make your scalp feel tight, flaky, irritated and just plain uncomfortable.
And sometimes, even washing your hair feels like a struggle.
A Scalp Facial is designed to gently remove buildup, hydrate and soothe the scalp, and create a healthier environment without aggressively scrubbing or irritating already sensitive skin.
While a scalp facial doesn’t cure psoriasis, it can be a really helpful part of your scalp care routine when things feel dry, congested or uncomfortable.
If your scalp has been needing a little extra attention, schedule a Scalp Facial and let’s give it some care. 🤍
You’ve tried the shampoos, the supplements, the serums… maybe you’ve even brought it up at your doctor’s appointment.
And you’re still wondering **why your hair is thinning.**
Sometimes you need someone who can spend more than 15 minutes with you.
Someone who will look at the timeline of when your hair changes started, your medical history, family history, medications, labs, lifestyle, and actually listen to what has been going on.
That’s where a hair loss specialist can help.
I help bridge the gap between your doctor and what you’re seeing with your hair.
Sometimes that means looking at existing bloodwork and identifying areas that may need a closer look. Sometimes we may want additional testing. And sometimes, we already have enough information to start building a customized treatment plan.
Because hair loss isn’t one size fits all.
If you feel like you’ve tried everything and still don’t have answers, it may be time to take a deeper look.

Menopause and hair loss… really? What else?
As if the hot flashes, brain fog, and lack of sleep weren’t enough, yes, menopause can affect your hair too.
Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can absolutely play a role in thinning, shedding, or changes in density.
But here’s the important part. It’s not always just hormones.
Iron stores, thyroid health, stress, nutrition, inflammation, medications, and genetics can all be part of the picture too.
That’s why I don’t like to simply assume hair changes are “just menopause.”
If you’ve noticed your part looking wider, your ponytail feeling smaller, more scalp showing, or your hair just doesn’t feel like it used to, a Hair Loss Evaluation can help us take a closer look at what may be contributing.
Start with an Evaluation.
Hair loss is not only about how much hair you are shedding.
During an evaluation, I also look closely at the condition of the scalp for signs such as:
• Redness or irritation
• Excess oil or buildup
• Dryness and flaking
• Follicle congestion
• Changes around the hair follicles
• Areas of sensitivity or inflammation
These findings can help us better understand what may be affecting the environment where the hair grows.
A healthy scalp does not guarantee perfect hair growth, but scalp concerns should not be ignored when creating a personalized hair loss plan.

These results show 8 months of progress.
Hair growth happens slowly, which is why meaningful changes are best evaluated over time.
At progress appointments, I repeat photos, measurements, and scalp imaging so we can compare them with the original starting point. In this case, the before-and-after photos and AI scope measurements show the changes documented over eight months.
We look for changes such as:
• Reduced shedding
• Improved scalp condition
• Changes in hair density
• New growth or shorter regrowing hairs
• Improvement in hair thickness
• Areas that may need a different approach
Progress checks help us see how the hair and scalp are responding and decide whether the plan should stay the same or be adjusted.
Hair progress should be measured, not guessed.
Hair progress should be monitored with more than just memory or a quick glance.
During your evaluation, I collect several types of measurements so we have a clearer starting point to compare over time.
This may include:
• Dermascope images to closely examine the scalp and follicles
• AI Becon Scope data to assess changes in the hair and scalp
• Digital photos taken from consistent angles
• Measurements of areas where thinning or density changes are present
We then look at the data together, assess what may be happening, and use those same measurements at future appointments to monitor progress.
Hair changes can happen slowly, which is why consistent photos, measurements, and scalp imaging are so valuable.
The goal is not to guess whether something is working.
It is to track the changes as clearly and consistently as possible.
Two people can have similar hair thinning and need completely different plans.
Hair changes may be influenced by:
• Genetics
• Hormonal changes
• Stress
• Nutrition
• Low iron or vitamin levels
• Medications
• Inflammation
• Scalp conditions
This is why randomly trying shampoos, supplements, and growth products can feel frustrating.
A personalized plan looks at your hair loss pattern, scalp condition, health history, bloodwork, and lifestyle before deciding what support may be most helpful.
Your hair loss plan should be created for you, not copied from someone else’s routine.
At-home products can be an important part of a hair growth plan, but in-office treatments allow us to provide a higher level of support directly to the scalp.
Depending on your personalized plan, treatments may help:
• Support circulation around the follicles
• Create microchannels to improve topical absorption
• Deliver professional-strength growth factors or exosomes
• Support a healthier scalp environment
• Help keep more hairs in the growing phase
There are no needles, no blood, and little to no downtime.
The treatment itself is only one part of the process. The best results come from combining in-office support with the right home care and addressing the factors that may be contributing to your hair loss.
Every client is different, which is why we begin with an evaluation before recommending treatment.
Hair loss is rarely caused by just one thing.
During a Hair Loss and Scalp Evaluation, we take a closer look at the full picture, including:
• Your hair loss timeline and shedding pattern
• Your scalp and follicles under the dermascope
• Health history, medications, stress, nutrition, and hormones
• Recent bloodwork and possible areas that may need more support
• Your current hair and scalp routine
The goal is not to guess or give you a one-size-fits-all recommendation.
It is to better understand what may be contributing to your hair changes and create a personalized plan based on what your hair and scalp actually need.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is, “I’ll just wait and see if it gets better.”
The truth is that hair loss rarely improves by guessing or waiting.
Whether it’s stress, hormones, nutrition, inflammation, or another underlying factor, finding the reason behind the thinning is the first step.
That’s why every new client starts with a comprehensive hair and scalp evaluation. We look beyond the surface so you have a personalized plan instead of another product to try.
If you’ve noticed your hair changing over the last few months, now is a good time to start asking why.
