Confession time: I’ve turned my own blonde hair green before. 🙋🏼♀️
Ever wonder why blonde hair turns green after swimming?
Contrary to popular belief, chlorine isn’t actually what turns your hair green. The real culprit is copper and other metals found in pool water. Chlorine oxidizes these metals, causing them to bind to the proteins in your hair. Since blonde, highlighted, and light-colored hair is more porous, it absorbs the metals more easily—leading to that unwanted green tint.
✨ How to prevent it:
• Wet your hair with clean water before swimming (dry hair acts like a sponge!)
• Apply a leave-in conditioner or hair oil for a protective barrier
• Wear a swim cap when possible
• Rinse your hair immediately after swimming
• Use a swimmer’s shampoo or clarifying shampoo regularly
If your hair has already turned green, don’t panic! A swimmer’s shampoo or clarifying treatment can usually remove the buildup and restore your blonde.
Blondes, save this post before your next pool day! ☀️

What is a mini light & who is it best for?🤍
A mini light is a targeted blonding service designed to refresh your color without a full foil.
It focuses on the most visible areas:
• Hairline (money piece)
• 4 foils through the part (placed to blend + soften regrowth)
• Around the ears
• Fringe + neckline
Total: about 10–16 foils
This is ideal for maintaining blonde or lived-in color between full appointments. It keeps brightness around the face, breaks up regrowth, and extends the life of your color without the time or cost of a full highlight.
Works for both blondes and brunettes who want a subtle, natural-looking refresh.
Perk- less time spent at the salon too!
