After 30 years in the salon, it’s time. I’ve gradually been stepping away the last few years, but to close the door has me feeling both sadness and immense gratitude for the wonderful career I’ve had. It’s allowed me to be present for everything with my family but also have a career I’ve loved. If you’ve ever sat in my chair, thank you. You made this chapter of my life possible. I will still be in Boone working, just in the insurance world full time now.
I shed a few tears after doing my last clients hair today. I don’t think the 18 year old that started cosmetology school back in 1996 could have ever dreamed of a life and career so wonderful.

Although I am fully vaccinated and boosted I feel like this is the best option. I am back to requiring masks or a face shield if you would like to come see me in the salon. I know we are all sick of wearing them and many of us enjoyed the brief period of some sense of normalcy but I just feel like this is the safest option at this point. Thank you for understanding.
