for episode one: why did I go back to art school in my late 20s when I was already working as a full-time artist?

the funny part is I went back to school because I thought I needed to find a more stable “real” career in art… only to realize I already had an art career. I just needed to figure out how to build the one I actually wanted.

Doing my art school homework extremely last minute 😭 I had three drawing compositions due for my Advanced Drawing Projects class at 9 AM and at 10 PM the night before I hadn’t even finished ONE. These drawings are part of my public markets project using reference photos I took around Boston, so come spend a very late night doing illustration homework with me 🎨

Do some art school homework with me 🎨 I have to complete three pages in my lettering sketchbook every week, and this week we’re doing a tattoo-inspired sketchbook spread, except we’re actually tattooing on the page lol. I’m using my Dragonhawk tattoo machine with a ballpoint pen attachment so I can draw directly onto the paper. Definitely one of the more fun art school assignments I’ve done so far.
