13 years ago I was sitting in the classroom. Yesterday, I was standing in front of it. ❤️

I had the opportunity to be a guest speaker at our local cosmetology school, teaching future estheticians about the BT Micro Ultrasonic Skin Scrubber.

I’ve spent 13 years learning, growing and perfecting my craft—and getting to share a little of that knowledge with the next generation?

Yeah…that was pretty freaking cool. ✨

This season of my life has been a difficult one, to say the least.

And I’ve learned that on the hard days, I have to be intentional about how I start my morning.

Before the appointments.
Before the responsibilities.
Before the noise of everything that needs my attention.

I need time with God. ❤️

Some mornings I come to Him thankful. Some mornings confused. Some mornings tired. And some mornings all I can manage is, “Lord, just help me through today.”

But I keep showing up.

Because I may not know what this season is preparing me for, but I know Who is walking through it with me.

So this is how I’m choosing to start my days lately—God’s Word, a little quiet, and the reminder that I don’t have to have everything figured out. 🙏🏼

One day at a time. One prayer at a time.

A very rare Friday ME day. ❤️

If you know me, you know I pretty much live for my clients. I love what I do, and taking a day off—especially on a Friday—is actually really hard for me.

But today, I did it.

I had a list of errands that I had put off for WAY too long, things that needed to get done, and I finally realized I needed to give myself permission to take a day and handle life.

And somewhere between checking things off my list and reminding myself that self-care applies to the esthetician too, I treated myself to some “ghetto fried rice” from apottutut_. 😂❤️

Was it a glamorous self-care day? Absolutely not.

Was it needed? 100%.

Sometimes self-care is a facial, a massage, or an hour of quiet.

And sometimes it’s taking the day off, getting your life together, and eating some really good fried rice. 😂

I’ll be back taking care of everyone else soon… but today, I took care of me. ❤️
