Press Release:

Develops New Robotic Electrologist

Burnsville, MN — InventHelp 123Invent is proud to announce the development of a groundbreaking innovation in the field of permanent hair removal: the Robotic Electrologist, created by Minnesota entrepreneur LaTonya Johnson, owner and lead electrologist of Minnesota Electrolysis LLC.

Johnson has spent years helping clients regain confidence through permanent hair removal. Her journey into electrology began with her own personal struggle managing unwanted facial hair—an experience that fueled her passion for providing compassionate, effective care to others facing similar challenges.

Through extensive hands‑on work, Johnson recognized a major gap in the industry: electrologists often endure significant physical strain, repetitive‑motion fatigue, and long‑term musculoskeletal wear. Determined to create a safer, more efficient solution, she began developing what is now positioned to become a transformative advancement in beauty and medical aesthetics.

“As an entrepreneur, inventor, and industry mentor, my mission is to modernize electrolysis, protect the professionals who perform it, and expand access to safe, permanent hair removal for all,” Johnson said.

ROBOTIC ELECTROLOGIST – At Minnesota Electrolysis LLC, we understand the physical demands of traditional electrolysis. Years of repetitive motion, strain, and fatigue inspired the creation of a smarter, more efficient solution. The Robotic... “I own an electrolysis company, and I thought there could be a more efficient and strain-free way to perform certain procedures, so I invented this. With my design, the clinician can simply program the procedure without the strain and fatigue associated with physically performing it.”

LaTonya Johnson – Minnesota Electrolysis LLC

LaTonya Johnson is the founder, owner, and lead electrologist of Minnesota Electrolysis LLC in Burnsville, Minnesota. With nine years of hands on clinical experience, she has built a reputation for delivering compassionate, effective permanent hair removal services while mentoring professionals across the industry. Her journey into Electrology began with her own experience managing unwanted facial hair—an experience that fueled her commitment to helping others regain confidence and access safe, permanent solutions. LaTonya is one of the first and only Black women Electrologist in the State of Minnesota (Phifer, Ivan. “Electrologist Gets Rid of Unwanted Hair — for Good.” Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder, 12 Jan. 2017)
In 2016, LaTonya completed her professional training including the completion of 320 hours at Electrology Associates, where she studied the full theory and practice of electrolysis and thermolysis. In addition, LaTonya has been recognized for her leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurial excellence. In December 2019, she was named a Spark Award Nominee by the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota. LaTonya continued to pursue further education, with the Aesthetics Accreditation International for Sterilization and Infections Disease Control in May of 2019 to 2024.
LaTonya is currently a member of the America Electrology Association, with her membership beginning in April of 2019 to present. She also received the Women Venture Emerge Certificate in October of 2019, highlighting her commitment to business development, strategic growth, and community impact. With the support of Women Venture, she gained the business education, mentorship, and operational training needed to establish and grow a successful Electrology practice.
LaTonya is now advancing Robotic Electrologist through prototype development, commercialization planning, and licensing opportunities for manufacturers and technology partners. She continues to mentor electrologists, advocate for industry innovation, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in beauty and medical technology.
LaTonya identified a critical gap in the field: electrologists face significant physical strain, repetitive motion fatigue, and long term musculoskeletal wear due to the manual nature of electrolysis. Determined to create a safer, more efficient, and more scalable approach, she began developing this groundbreaking innovation—the Robotic Electrologist.
As an inventor and entrepreneur, LaTonya is pioneering the first robotic system designed specifically for electrolysis. Her device automates the most physically demanding aspects of treatment, reduces practitioner fatigue, increases precision, and delivers consistent, repeatable performance.

The clinician programs the procedure, and the robotic system performs the work with uniform accuracy, modernizing an industry that has relied on manual techniques for more than a century.

Licensing Opportunity The Robotic Electrologist is available for licensing to manufacturers or marketers interested in bringing this innovation to the market.
