To my clients, community, and friends,

I'm writing to share some important news about Native Spirit Healing.

After a lot of reflection (and A LOT of listening to where the universe is pulling me) I've made the decision to pause my work within a permanent physical space for the time being. This isn't the end of my practice, and it isn't the end of my business.

✨It's a transition.✨

One where I'm being called in new directions that are taking me away from my current physical space. And like many small businesses, over the last few years, we've spent the last two years working hard just to keep the lights on. It's been a struggle to say the least.

We've also faced repeated threats of violence, racism, and prejudice that have made it unsafe for me to practice alone in a physical space. I have been repeatedly followed by unmarked vehicles with ICE agents nearly every time I drive to the office. They even sat outside my 87 year old grandmother's house late at night into the early morning hours, after following me on my way to go help her because I happened to look a certain way while driving. They repeatedly drove by me and scanned my face and my plates and were intentionally intimidating me. My grandma was terrified to say the least both for my safety and for her own. And because I'm a mixed person and have had this question come up several times, this was my grandma who is a white lady and who's ancestors immigrated to the America's a long time ago and became farmers.

I disclose this in order to be honest with you about the things I've been facing behind the scenes. This is not a political statement or me trying to sway your political stance. I disclose this because you deserve the truth and these are my real experiences I've been dealing with as the world changes and impacts my ability to serve my community.

I've also been on the hunt and searching for a new space for the last few years, but with prices on everything rising so dramatically, it's getting harder and harder to not just justify the high costs of rent. But to find something that both falls within my price range and is equipped with enough space and the right kind of functionality I need, feels nearly impossible for the time being.

But I'm still on the hunt.

My contract with my current space ends at the end of this month, so the days I have open right now are the only days I'll have open for the time being. (This is subject to change.)

What I want you to know is this: I'm not going anywhere. I'm simply pausing my in-person work until I find a new space to serve from. If you have any leads on spaces in the Caldwell area (or the surrounding areas), please reach out! I'd love to keep serving the community I've built through massage, reiki, and more, and I'm hoping to stay close to home.

A note for my membership people: I know some of you hold massage credits, and I want to give you a choice.

1.) You can hold onto your credits until I find a new space to work out of, that's completely fine, and I'll honor them when I'm back.

2.) Or, if you'd prefer a refund, that's fine too. Please know that refunds will take me a while to process. My savings have been drained by medical bills, so I don't have a solid timeline for when I'll be able to process them.

I'm grateful for your patience and understanding either way.

As a general note, our sales and promotions have always been "all sales are final", and that policy continues to apply. With that said, we've always handled things on a case-by-case basis, and when something has been our fault, we've done our best to make it right. I'll carry that same care and fairness into how I handle the membership credit situation, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions.

All other sales, gift certificates, etc are final sale and will only be eligible for account credit to be used in office or applied to a future event, class, service, or workshop.

In the meantime, I'm birthing something new.

My guides have made it clear that I'm walking a shamanic path, and over the last few months, I've come to realize I've been deep in a shamanic initiation. I've been teaching myself shamanic journeying with my drum, seeking guidance in the lower, upper, and middle worlds, and learning to work with the underworld themes so many of us are holding right now. Many of us have been plunged into the darkness and the shadow realms and as your guide, I'm working on birthing new forms of healing.

This is a death and rebirth season for me. Even though it feels like everything is falling apart, and even though I've been grieving many losses these last few months, this is also an opportunity to shift things around and try something different.

Expect us to become a lot more spiritual and spooky. *Wink Wink*🌙

✨A Personal Update & Thank You for Your Patience✨

Dear Friends,

I wanted to take a moment to share a personal update and explain why many of you have experienced appointment changes and rescheduling over the last couple of weeks.

My beloved cat, Peaches, has recently been diagnosed with insulinoma, a rare form of cancer that affects the pancreas and causes dangerous fluctuations in blood sugar. Because of his condition, he now requires frequent monitoring, medication, specialized feeding schedules, and, most importantly, a great deal of time, attention, and care.

For those who have had appointments moved or adjusted, thank you for your patience, understanding, and grace during this time.

Peaches is not "just a pet" to me. He has been my constant companion since I was 19 years old. He was born in my room and raised by my side. Over the years, he has been there through six family deaths, countless life transitions, career changes, relationships, friendship losses, and some of the most difficult seasons of my life. During the pandemic, when I was working long shifts in healthcare and carrying the weight of what so many of us experienced during that time, he was often the one steady presence waiting for me at home.

For much of my adult life, Peaches has been a source of comfort, stability, loyalty, and unconditional love.

As difficult as this season has been, it has also been deeply meaningful.

Many of you know that my work extends beyond massage therapy. Over the last several years, I have increasingly found myself walking alongside people as they navigate major life transitions, grief, endings, loss, healing, and transformation. More recently, I have found myself unexpectedly stepping into psychopomp and death doula work, helping souls, families, and loved ones move through thresholds and profound transitions.

What I didn't expect was that Peaches would become one of my greatest teachers in that work.

As I care for him through end-of-life support, I am realizing that this is not entirely new territory for me. In many ways, I've been doing aspects of this work for years. Whether through massage, spiritual support, caregiving, energy work, grief support, or simply holding space for people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, I have often found myself serving as a companion through transitions.

After working in healthcare during the pandemic, I intentionally stepped away from death-related work because I needed time to heal from what I had witnessed and experienced. Yet life (and perhaps Spirit) seems to keep bringing me back to these sacred thresholds in different forms.

This experience with Peaches has shown me that there may be another facet of my calling waiting to be explored more intentionally in the future. I don't know exactly what that will look like yet, but I am listening.

For now, however, my focus is simple:

I am taking care of my boy.

I am spending time with him, helping him remain comfortable, loved, and supported. I am taking things one day at a time, one feeding at a time, one moment at a time.

Thank you for your patience as I navigate this season. Thank you for your understanding when schedules need to shift unexpectedly. Thank you for supporting both my work and my family, including the furry family members who have walked beside me throughout this journey.
