I've been chasing something bigger than myself since I was 18. I just didn't know back then what that something would become.

This picture takes me back to a different chapter of my life. I was 18 years old, a kid who grew up on a farm in a small town, trying to make something of himself.

I was a DJ, and somehow that small-town farm boy ended up working with some of the biggest names in the 2000s hip-hop scene. Dem Franchize Boyz, D4L, Jody Breeze, Boyz n da Hood, and the Dungeon Family, just to name a few.

Not exactly what you'd expect from a country boy, was it?

But even back then, I was about my business. I had ambition. I had dreams. And I believed I could build a life that was bigger than the circumstances I came from.

I've had successes. I've had failures. I've trusted the wrong people, made mistakes, lost opportunities, and had to start over more times than I'd like to admit.

But one thing I've never done is stop believing I could make something of myself.

The biggest difference between that 18-year-old kid and the man I am today is my WHY.

Back then, I wanted to be successful for myself.

Today, I want to be successful for my family.

My wife and my sons are the reason I keep pushing when things get difficult. They're the reason I get up every morning determined to build something that matters.

Through Bryant Hill, I'm trying to create products I can be proud of, build something my sons can one day call their own, and show them what hard work, determination, and integrity look like.

Through my philanthropic work, I'm trying to make a difference for families who need someone in their corner.

And through it all, I'm trying to leave behind something far more valuable than money.

A legacy.

I'm still that small-town farm boy with big dreams. The dreams have just changed, and the stakes mean a whole lot more now.

I'm not where I want to be yet. Not even close. But I'm not finished, either.

Bryant Hill is about more than what we make.

These two photographs tell more about Bryant Hill than any product photo ever could.

One is my son and me, years ago. What you see is the quiet after a meltdown. A father holding his little boy when the world had simply become too much. No posing. No marketing. Just a moment of calm, trust, and love.

The other is my grandfather and me, standing on the old farm with our arms around one another, looking toward the barn. Different generations. Different seasons of life. The same lesson:

Family matters. Legacy matters. What we leave behind matters.

We use this business to help teach our autistic sons skills they can carry with them through life. And every year, a portion of what Bryant Hill earns is donated to Fighting for Autism, helping other families with therapy expenses, communication devices, and some of the challenges that come with simply trying to give their children every opportunity possible.

That is part of the reason we do this.

We talk a lot about luxury at Bryant Hill. But our definition of luxury may be a little different.

Luxury isn't a designer label.
