Trying to make dreams come true instead of staying on a piece of paper.
Challenging each other should be the ladder that helps climb to the top.
God even challenges us at times. So we grow to be better with Him, wiser and sometimes even repentant.
It’s like wanting to workout together then being surprised when you’re asked to lift weights.
I’ll pick up weights too. Maybe not the same weight! But definitely as part of a team.
There’s no downside to becoming stronger.
Especially if you’ve ever had injuries. That’s actually when you should train to not just become stronger but maintain function.
The area around where you have an injury needs to be strengthened to support that area until it can get back to full mobility and weight.
There’s never an excuse to remain weak.

Those Southern sunsets
Most women want a man to truly lead.
But many are on their own path and don’t even include her. His conversations are with everyone but her when she’s probably begging for connection. Begging to be the most important thing to him. To be the first thing considered instead of the first thing he fights.
Saying you’re a Christian requires more than just words to mean you actually are one. Wanting her to admire you, yet you cuss her. Quoting scriptures that only fit your narrative while skipping the whole Biblical context of true God covenant relationship. You’re responsible to Him first, then to her to as His daughter to protect and love in kind. Actions speak for themselves.
Lead the way God says to lead: in love, in covenant, prioritizing her above yourself like Christ does for us, in humility and above all, at the foot of the cross. Lead her there. Open the Bible. Pray. Together.

Grateful that He’s faithful when I fall short

Wanting and needing are two different things
Wanting to and having to, also different.
It’s a strength kind of day. Your back is a large muscle group to train. You could train it in sections for weeks straight but that isn’t how our backs are used.
It’s used all at once in most movements. All day.
Pushing. Pulling. Lifting. Balancing.
Your back carries the weight of the world so you need to train like it. There will be days where you carry more than you think you can handle; the weight of life or actual weights.
Sometimes you can’t tell the difference.
Train because life alone demands it.

The mountains never disappoint. They give you exactly what you need. Every time.
I always think it’s important to work muscle groups with unilateral training. I get it when you have “back and bi’s” day. But also, we can become weaker/stronger on one side because of dominant/inferior usage.
Unilateral training helps equal the muscle strength on each side. Balancing your body better.
In functional daily movements do we only use our biceps when lifting, pulling, working….? Only use our delts? No. The unilateral muscle chain works together. One main overload but the connected chain supports the main movement. You can’t use one without the other.
Movements like this single arm row with slight twist targets the entire rear chain of your back, from shoulder to waist; bicep and forearm. Lengthen then contract.
3 sets of 15 each side
