You can highlight over color, as long as you’re not lifting through a color below 5. To avoid color getting smooshed on their face, foil upside down around the hairline and use very fine sections.
I also like to leave raw lift! This Clients retouch is a 9, she lifts to a perfect warm blonde that doesn’t look brassy. Another trick I have learned is to use the retouch as a bit of a toner by running it through at the bowl. It makes a perfect tone that goes well with her base.
Factory Bonds are OUT and handmade bonds are in. If you are an expert in this field, you know Keratin Bonds are not a “one size fits all.” Every single client needs to have a custom fitting that includes density matching.
Sure, you can cut the bonds in half, but more than likely you’re still left with too much hair and now your application process is slow because you’ve dwindling down the amount of keratin on your bonds and cut them down to an unfortunate size/shape.
