Sometimes the best thing you can do for your scalp is... less.
Several months ago, during a scalp analysis, I noticed signs that concerned me... areas of sensitivity and inflammation that I felt warranted further evaluation. Rather than guessing or trying to treat something outside my scope, I recommended that my client schedule an appointment with a dermatologist.

Since then, she's been under the care of her dermatologist while we continued to support her with a gentle, healthy scalp care routine.
At her most recent follow-up, she shared some encouraging news:
✔️ Her dermatologist said her scalp looks healthy.
✔️ She doesn't need to return for another two months.
✔️ They even observed new hair growth in the thinning area.

This is a great reminder that healthy hair care is a team effort.
As a trichologist, my role is to assess the scalp, recognize when something doesn't look right, provide supportive care, and refer clients to the appropriate medical professional when necessary. Working together gives our clients the best opportunity for healthy hair growth.

One of the biggest lessons from this journey? More products aren't always better.
Right now, our focus is keeping her scalp clean, hydrated with water, and lightly sealed with a lightweight oil—avoiding heavy greases and unnecessary buildup that could interfere with a healthy scalp environment.
