There is nothing that prepares you for walking into a hospital with your baby... and nothing quite as heartbreaking as coming home with an empty stroller.

While we drove home, Juniper stayed behind—surrounded by an incredible team of doctors, nurses, and staff at Children's Hospital Colorado who were fighting for her life.

Over the course of the previous year, Juniper endured three open-heart surgeries, three blood clots in her heart, countless procedures, and long CICU hospital stays. Yet through it all, she continued to smile, fight, and amaze us every single day.

Today, one year later, I look at this sweet, resilient little girl with overwhelming gratitude. She has shown us what true strength looks like. She has taught us to celebrate every milestone, never take an ordinary day for granted, and find joy even in the hardest times.

We're also incredibly grateful to share that we're now getting close to an entire year without a hospitalization or surgery—a milestone that once felt impossible.

To the entire team at Children's Hospital Colorado, thank you. Your skill, compassion, and dedication gave our daughter the chance to keep writing her story. We will never be able to fully express what you've meant to our family.

And to everyone who prayed for us, checked in on us, supported our family, and loved on Juniper throughout this journey—thank you. We will carry that kindness with us forever.

When she's not at Prana, you'll find her enjoying live music, exploring local restaurants, watching movies, bowling, or hiking the Colorado mountains.
