✨ Are you a wellness provider interested in joining the BodyWork Associates Wellness Network?

We’d love to connect.

This program is built on real experience, trusted referrals, and collaboration within our local wellness community. Our team personally experiences providers’ services before recommending them so we can confidently connect clients with care we believe in.

The Wellness Network is rooted in ethical, non-incentivized collaboration, meaning there is no financial exchange for referrals or recommendations. If you’re passionate about whole-body wellness and community-centered care, we’d love to learn more about what you do.

✨ Why was the BodyWork Associates Wellness Network created?
This program is spearheaded by one of our therapists, Becca Malone, who saw a clear gap in how people connect with health and wellness support in the community.

Here’s what Becca had to say about the inspiration behind it:

“I kept noticing two groups of people who were missing each other, people looking for support beyond their traditional healthcare experience, and providers offering really unique wellness services who were looking for clients. But they were just passing each other by.

At the same time, I noticed that many referral networks tend to focus on chiropractors, physical therapists, and doctors, all incredibly important, of course! But for some people, those options can feel hard to access due to cost or scheduling, or they’ve already tried them and are looking for something different.
As I started exploring the Champaign-Urbana area more, I realized just how many accessible and diverse wellness resources exist. From free park district classes, to volunteer-led groups, to private practitioners doing incredible work that often goes unnoticed.

I wanted to help bring visibility to all of that and what better way to do it than through Bodywork Associates!”

As a program rooted in serving our clients and community, this felt like a natural extension of what we already do at BWA. It allows us to support clients beyond the treatment room and into their everyday wellness journey.

⭐️ Have you worked with any amazing practitioners or experienced any unique wellness services in the CU area? We’d love to hear about them!

Excellent Questions | ABMP 06/07/2026

As a client receiving bodywork, it’s natural to have questions about what you’re feeling, what’s changing in your body, and what to expect after a session.

This article by Doug Nelson in Massage & Bodywork Magazine highlights something many clients don’t often hear: the best therapeutic relationships are built on honest, grounded communication, even when there isn’t a simple answer.

From a client’s perspective, it’s reassuring to know that a good practitioner isn’t expected to “have all the answers,” but instead to respond with clarity, honesty, and care about what your body is communicating in the moment.

It’s a helpful reminder that asking questions isn’t a disruption to the process—it’s part of it.

Excellent Questions | ABMP We've all experienced the roadblocks of pain that won't subside, a puzzling condition, or general uncertainty. But when a client asks tough questions, we must answer them honestly.
