This Fourth of July, don't think of movement as something you have to do to "earn" your food. Instead, think of it as another way to enjoy the holiday.
โค๏ธ Toss a football with the kids.
๐ Join the volleyball game.
๐ Swim in the pool or spend time at the lake.
๐ถ Take a walk around the neighborhood after dinner.
๐ฒ Go for a bike ride.
๐ Dance while the fireworks play.
๐ถ Take your dog for an evening stroll.
๐ Get outside and soak up the sunshine.
Movement doesn't have to happen in a gym to count. The best kind of exercise is the kind you enjoyโand the kind that creates memories with the people you love.

Are you feeling anxious about the Fourth of July?
Maybe you're worried about overindulging. Maybe you're debating whether you should track every bite. Or maybe you're wondering if one day will undo all of your hard work.
Here's your reminder: One day isn't going to make or break your progress.
Your health isn't determined by one cookout, one dessert, or one holiday. It's built by the choices you make consistently over time.
So this Fourth of July, give yourself permission to enjoy the food and the people you're celebrating with. โค๏ธ
Here are a few simple habits that can help you feel your best:
๐ Start with protein. Build your plate around a good source of protein to help regulate blood sugar, keep you full longer, and prevent the endless snacking that often happens at cookouts.
๐ฝ๏ธ Eat intentionally instead of grazing. Enjoy your favorite foods but try not to pick at chips and appetizers all afternoon. Sit down, make a plate, and savor what you choose.
๐ Bring something nourishing. A fresh fruit tray, grilled veggies, a protein-packed side dish, or another healthy option ensures you'll have foods that help you feel your best.
