• YES PLEASE! Sometimes extensions aren’t needed, and can actually make the updo too overdone. Instead, try leaving out more pieces around the face to add texture, volume, and romance while keeping the updo slightly smaller in the back ❤️ I’ll share the video soon, but loved the end result! I kept the brunette hair shiny with brillianteen (crucial) and held together with a constant in my kit Elnett hairspray!

• Seeing the hair and makeup come together for the first time is the best moment of the bridal process❤️❤️ This half up half down hairstyle is allllll the rage at the moment, but each one is slightly different…
From the type of curl used to body positioning and product, each slight change will give a very different look! For this one, I used a 1.25 iron and did a “twisted wrap” for a Glam Wave. I prepped with root boost and dry texture spray before curling each section. I finished with rapid repair for high shine and keratin spray for frizz ❤️ Enjoy and save for hair inspo!

• When I hear, “I’ve never liked any updo I’ve ever had”, it’s almost always followed up with a concern of their hair being too tight and only ever feeling comfortable with hair around their face. Soooo.. this is a PERFECT style for them for these reasons:
1. Since there is volume on the top and the sides, they can see hair all around their face.
2. Being able to see the majority of the hair on top and “trickle” down the sides and back will automatically make their face look more narrow ( helpful since the concern is also that their face is looking too round with an updo).
3. Since the style is meant to look loose and intentionally falling out around the back of the head, you can leave out more hair around the jawline which will soften the look of a sharp jaw AND will hide any insecurities of a weak jawline!

• When your bride brings in a family heirloom to place in her hair, it’s a special moment. This piece in Diana’s hair was actually a headband connected to a veil!! So, naturally, we deconstructed it into a shape that would work with her half up style and worked the hair around it! Loved the final result ❤️
