It's October. There are pumpkins everywhere you look! Where I live, people are even giving out free pumpkins. The big question is what do I with them? Naturally, I want to decorate with them lol... But I am trying to think about how can I get the best benefit for my body.🧐
Pumpkin is not only healthy to eat, but it can also be used for beauty purposes. Pumpkin is a natural exfoliate. If you puree pumpkin, you can use it topically by creating a mask for your face. Mix about 1/4 cup of pureed pumpkin, 2 tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt, and 1 tablespoon honey. Canned pumpkin works too.
When people think about eating pumpkin, a lot people's minds go straight to pumpkin pie and different desserts. However, we're being more health conscious these days, right? So, if you would like to add more pumpkin to your diet, try finding savory pumpkin recipes like soups and chilis.
