“What’s the difference?”

A good esthetician should be able to explain their choice. But also understand... one wax isn’t automatically better than the other.

As an experienced waxer, I use hard wax AND soft wax depending on the area, hair type, skin, and what I feel will give my client the best result.

So ask your clarifying questions, understand what’s being used on your body, and then allow your esthetician to use their professional judgment.

Technique, experience, and knowing your client’s skin matter more than choosing sides in the hard wax vs. soft wax debate.

One thing I’ve learned after years behind the wax pot: it’s not just about the wax.... it’s about the TECHNIQUE.

Estheticians...Listen up!!! You can use hard wax OR soft wax on just about any area of the body when you understand your product, your client’s skin, hair growth, pressure, temperature, and proper removal technique.

I use both. I am not loyal to a particular kind of wax...I’m loyal to RESULTS. 💁🏽‍♀️

Understand, your client isn’t laying on your table worried about the hard wax vs. soft wax debate. What they really care about is:

✨ Does this hurt more than it needs to?
✨ Do I feel comfortable with you?
✨ Do you know what you’re doing?
✨ Can I TRUST you with my skin?

Technique builds confidence. Communication builds comfort. Consistency builds TRUST.

There are a few questions I get asked often, and one of the biggest is...

"Do you perform Brazilian waxes on minors?"

My answer is.... "No!!", and here's why...

As an esthetician with over 20 years of experience, my job isn't just to remove hair, it's to protect the health and integrity of your skin.

Teen skin is still developing. It's typically thinner, more reactive, and not as mature as adult skin. The p***c hair also serves an important purpose by helping protect the area from bacteria, germs, and friction. Removing all of that hair before the skin and body have fully matured isn't something I'm comfortable doing.

Now, I completely understand that many teens are involved in dance, cheer, gymnastics, swimming, and other sports where grooming is important. That's why I do offer bikini waxing, it's a great option that provides a clean, neat look while still respecting the skin's natural protective barrier.

Every esthetician has their own polices based on their education, experience, and professional judgment. This is one of mine, and it's a decision I've made within my business.

I'd rather lose a service than compromise what I believe is in the best interest of my clients.

Healthy skin will always come before trends.
