You’ve tried the rosemary oil.

The hair-growth shampoo.

The supplements.

The serums.

The scalp treatments.

Maybe you’ve even spent hundreds, or thousands trying to get your hair back.

And when I ask what you’ve tried, you tell me:

“Everything.”

My next question is…

Everything for WHAT? 👀

Because here’s the part we don’t talk about enough:

Hair loss is not one problem with one solution.

If we don’t understand what may be contributing to YOUR thinning or shedding, how do we know what we’re actually trying to address?

That’s why I’m interested in more than what’s sitting in your bathroom cabinet.

🔎 What does the pattern of hair loss look like?

🔎 What can we see at the scalp and follicle level?

🔎 What was happening in your body 3–6 months before the shedding began?

🔎 What does your health history tell us?

🔎 Are there nutritional, metabolic, hormonal or inflammatory factors worth investigating?

Products can absolutely have a place in a hair-loss plan.

But products are tools. They are not an investigation.

And sometimes the reason you feel like you’ve “tried everything” is because nobody stopped long enough to ask:

What exactly are we treating?

Your scalp gives us clues.
Your history gives us clues.
Your bloodwork gives us clues.
Your body gives us clues.

It’s time to stop throwing products at your hair loss and start asking better questions.

Hair loss is frustrating enough. What makes it even harder is walking away with an answer that still leaves you wondering, “Okay…but what do I do with that?”

Maybe stress is contributing. Maybe genetics are involved. Maybe your labs are within the standard reference range.

But those answers should lead to better questions—not necessarily end the conversation.

What changed before the hair loss began?
What pattern is your hair showing?
What are your follicles actually doing?
What has—and hasn’t—been investigated?

Most women aren’t looking for another random product to add to the bathroom cabinet.

They’re looking for clarity.

Because when you better understand what’s happening, you can make more informed decisions about what your hair actually needs next.

Hair loss deserves curiosity—not guesswork. 🔎

A product can be great and still be completely wrong for your hair loss situation

Shedding, breakage, miniaturization and scarring are not interchangeable problems.

That’s why I don’t like starting a hair loss investigation with:

What should I buy?

I prefer:

“What is happening?”

Let’s figure that out first. Then decide what belongs in the plan.

This is where miniaturization matters. A follicle may continue producing hair, but the strands can progressively become finer, shorter or weaker.

So when someone says, “But I still have hair there,” my next question is…

What kind of hair is that follicle producing?

That distinction matters.

Sometimes the most frustrating part of hair loss isn’t the shedding.

It’s having a drawer full of products and still not having clarity.

Nobodies going to tell you that you don’t need more things. But I will.

And I’d like to offer you this thought that may not have crossed your mind yet. Maybe what you need is a deeper investigation into WHY you have hair loss.

Let me know via DM- have you considered this option yet, so you don’t have to keep spending money or more products?

I didn’t leave the hair industry. I evolved within it.

For years, my work centered around what I could create with my hands which was healthy styles, beautiful hair and helping women feel confident when they looked in the mirror.

But eventually, beautiful hair wasn’t enough for me after I was introduced to Trichology back in 2014.

I became more interested in the questions I couldn’t answer from behind the chair.

Why is she shedding?

Why is her density changing?

Why isn’t her hair responding even though she’s doing “everything right”?

That curiosity changed the direction of my career.

Today, I’m building something that allows me to combine nearly two decades in the hair industry with the science of trichology and a deeper investigation into what influences hair growth.

I’m no longer simply working with hair.

I’m studying the person responsible for growing it.

And this chapter of The Hair Mayven is still being built. 🤎

I’ve spent years learning to understand hair loss.

Now I’m expanding how I can help women live through it.

Because there’s something important we don’t talk about enough:

Regrowth isn’t always possible — but options still exist.

And I want The Hair Mayven to be a place where women can explore those options without feeling like they’ve failed because their journey didn’t end in complete regrowth.

I’m adding another certification to my professional toolbox very soon, and this one represents a new chapter for The Hair Mayven.

I can’t wait to show you what I’m working on.

Any guesses? 👀🤎

Sometimes we ask a product to solve a problem it was never designed to solve.

Hair oils can have a place in a healthy hair and scalp routine, but very type of hair loss is not a product problem.

If the underlying issue involves a hair loss disorder, nutritional deficiency, hormonal changes, thyroid dysfunction, inflammation, medication, significant stress, or another internal factor, adding another oil may never address what actually needs attention.

And that’s where a lot of women get stuck.

They keep changing the product without changing the investigation.

Before you buy another bottle promising growth, ask yourself:

Do I actually know why I’m losing my hair?

Because the right product can’t compensate for the wrong question.

There’s something especially meaningful to me about being part of Cohort #10. Biblically, the number 10 is often connected with completeness, order and responsibility. Entering this season that number feels so significant.
