IT’S MY 1 YEAR BIG CHOP ANNIVERSARY! 🎉

a year ago today, in the middle of quarantine, I chopped my hair off at around 2 in the morning. 😂

i had been transitioning from relaxed for about a year & a few months & decided to just go for it. it was the shortest my hair had EVER been. but i kept reminding myself it was hair, that it would grow back.... & BOY did it!!

1️⃣ i deep condition WEEKLY!!!! whenever my hair isn’t in a protective style, she’s getting washed & deep conditioned every sunday. it’s a HASSLE but very much so worth it.

2️⃣ i protective style, without putting any added stress on my hair. braids, TENSION FREE faux locs, ponytails. yada yada. anything where my ends are coated in moisture & protected.

3️⃣ i leave my hair ALONE. that might sound crazy because i change styles quite often, but i don’t do anything extreme to change the chemical bonds of my
hair.

4️⃣ i straighten my hair every six months to get a good dusting/trim & go to stylist who care about the health of my hair, over the appearance. (S/O .company & )
p.s. trims are VERY important.

5️⃣ lastly, i try to drink about a liter of water a day & mind my business 😉
