Monic Davis Hair

Monic, after 28 years in the industry, continues to be passionate about the most essential aspect of cosmetology—healthy hair. She loves the fact that she can transform hair from damaged to healthy through consultation and strategic care. Shortly after receiving her Masters of Cosmetology license from Augusta Technical College in 1993, Monic used her business savvy in an entrepreneurial effort with her brother, Zelwin Davis. Together the two continued in the family tradition and established Jazzy Hair Studio. Monic knows the importance of continued education and is constantly enriching her knowledge. Her educational credits include attending the Dudley Cosmetology University for Advanced Training in Hair Technique, Advanced Training with Ashtate Products, a Matrix Advanced Cutting course in New York City, and several training courses with Bronner Bros. Monic is equally passionate about sharing her expertise and experiences with aspiring cosmetologists. She is a national educator and continues to train other stylists all over the United States including Hawaii, Canada, The Dominican Republic and The Virgin Islands. Monic has also had the opportunity to extend her technique to the entertainment industry. Her first opportunity came with a client that shares her first name. In 2004, she styled the hair of the Queen of Comedy and Academy Award-winning actress, Mo’Nique for her appearance as the host of the 2004 Trumpet Awards. Monic has styled local celebrities as well. She is the personal stylist for Augusta’s own Cher Best of America’s Hottest Morning Wake Up Show on 96.3 Kiss FM. She has also styled newscaster Bridgette Williams, formally of the local NBC affiliate WAGT news channel 26. Monic’s mission is to give all clients a personalized, holistic makeover including the mind, body and soul. By discovering each client’s individual personality, style, and haircare needs, she is able to reflect their inner beauty with their outer attributes. Monic knows that perception is key and when you look good, you feel good. She believes the experience in the salon should be one of tranquility and trust. The salon should be a safe space where customers can escape the stresses of everyday life and leave rejuvenated and refreshed. Monic commits to giving 100% of her care, consideration, and compassion to each client that entrusts her with the responsibility of caring for their hair.
