Wellness for women 35+ â¨
Mindfulness ⢠Self-Care ⢠Skin ⢠Community
A space for grown women choosing more peace, more intention and more of what makes us feel GOOD.
There was a time when my day didnât officially start until I had a cup of âď¸coffee in my hand.
Lately, Iâve been creating new rituals instead of just chasing new results.
One small change? I traded my daily coffee for tea. đľ
Itâs not because coffee is âbad.â Itâs because Iâm learning to choose what supports the season Iâm in. Slower mornings. More intention. More moments to breathe before the day begins.
đŤ°đžWellness isnât always about making dramatic changes. Sometimes itâs about replacing one habit with another that better serves the person youâre becoming.
This is my reminder that healing often looks quiet. One cup. One choice. One new ritual at a time.
Whatâs one old habit youâre replacing with something that nourishes you?
â¨Thoughtful Thursday
A therapist is good⌠but a skin therapist is great. đ
Because sometimes the conversation starts with your skin-but it ends with your stress, and hoeep, your hormones, your confidence, great. and how youâve been caring for you.
Healthy skin isnât just about products. Itâs about slowing down long enough to listen to what your body has been trying to say
This is your reminder that self-care isnât selfish
âitâs maintenance for your mind, body, and skin.
Your skin remembers every moment you
choose yourself.
Cheek breakouts often send us searching for a stronger cleanser, a better serum, or the next trending treatment.
But sometimes theyâre also a reminder to pause.
While traditional face mapping has long associated the cheeks with emotional balance and overall wellness, science hasnât confirmed those connections. What we do know is that chronic stress can influence inflammation, hormones, skin barrier function, and breakouts.
Your skin doesnât exist in isolation.
It responds to how you sleep.
How you nourish your body.
How you manage stress.
How often you allow yourself to rest.
Healthy skin isnât just built in the treatment room or with a 10-step routine. Itâs cultivated through the rituals that care for your whole self.
So today, ask yourself:
⨠What am I carrying that I donât have to?
⨠When was the last time I truly rested?
⨠What does my body need from me today?
At Queen City Beauty Studio, wellness isnât separate from skincareâitâs part of the treatment.
Because glowing skin starts with caring for the person wearing it. đ¤
Hereâs todayâs teaâŚ
If youâre over 40, stop trying to âscrub awayâ aging. Your skin repairs itself while you sleepânot while youâre exfoliating it into exhaustion.
Tonight, try this simple evening ritual:
⨠Double cleanse to remove sunscreen, makeup, and the dayâs buildup.
⨠Apply a hydrating serum to replenish water in the skin.
⨠Follow with a targeted treatment like a retinol or peptide serum (if your skin tolerates it).
⨠Seal everything in with a nourishing moisturizer to support your skin barrier overnight.
The goal isnât to make your skin work harderâitâs to give it what it needs to repair.
Remember: Healthy, well-supported skin almost always looks younger than over-treated skin.
â Now itâs your turnâŚ
Whatâs one evening skincare habit you never skip?
We spend so much of our lives taking care of everyone else that we forget what it feels like to receive our own care.
Tonight, donât rush your skincare routine. Slow down. Feel the water. Notice your breath. Massage your cleanser in with intention. Let your hands become a reminder that you deserve gentleness, too.
Self-care isnât found in another productâitâs found in the ritual.
Soft life isnât about doing less. Itâs about doing what nourishes you more intentionally.
Today Iâm choosing:
⨠Slow skincare
⨠Water before caffeine
⨠Boundaries without guilt
⨠Movement that feels good
⨠A home that feels peaceful
What does your soft life look like today?
⨠A Day in the Life: Esthetician Edition â¨
More than facials and waxing appointments. Itâs creating a space where women can exhale, reconnect with themselves, and leave feeling a little lighter than when they arrived.
Between steaming towels, skin consultations, treatment plans, product restocks, content creation, laundry, answering DMs, and pouring into my clients, every day looks differentâbut helping women feel confident in their skin never gets old.
This isnât just skincare. Itâs self-care, science, therapy, and a little bit of magic all wrapped into one. đ¤
Welcome to a day in my world at Queen City Beauty Studio.
At 20, I wanted flawless skin. At 40+, I want resilient, comfortable, radiant skin that reflects how well I care for myself. Funny how wisdom changes the goal. â¨
