Happy Friday!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted…

Life as a small business owner + being a mama + PTO President at my kids’ school has kept me busy!

But, it’s time for a much-needed break.

I celebrated my 40th birthday on 3/26, and my 5-year wedding anniversary on 3/27- Danny and me are going to Asheville this weekend to continue celebrating these milestones.

I’ve been out-of-office since yesterday afternoon and will be minimally available until my return back to work Monday evening, 4/6.

I hope you all have a blessed Easter weekend!

I have been known in the past for trying to do “all the things”.

This is why, a year and a half ago, I began seeing my psychologist more frequently to rein in this energy and become more organized with all the things I want to accomplish.

Becoming the PTSO President was not on my radar for this year, but when I got approached by some of the teachers at the end of last school year to help revamp the organization, saying “yes” felt “right”.

My fellow officers & I did come into quite a mess, and while that has set some things back, I trust that we can certainly get past it and have a successful PTSO, for the sake of kids and our school community.

With joining the organization, I am held accountable to meet certain deadlines and keep things in motion to ensure our success…

That type of energy has been overflowing into my work-life, while also reigniting my creative spark.

I have had moments of questioning why I added “one more thing” to my plate, but I am so grateful I have!

In my business, I work collaboratively with fellow practitioners, especially when it comes to my pediatric clients, so that has been helpful as I figure out this new gig.

I’m curious about what having this new role in my life might inspire, and I look forward to sharing it with you when I find out!

What parts of your personal life help to inspire your professional life?

I’d love to hear in the comments how the two are intertwined for you. ↓

I hope you’re having a great weekend! ♡CB

During the heat of summer is a good time to have a *chill* drink in hand…

Recently, Green Compass released their new TH🌊 beverage, SIX, and I’m looking for 2 more ladies to taste test this sparkling lemonade.

In exchange for trying GC’s brand new product for FREE, I ask for your feedback/testimonial.

This evening, as I handed a client a can of SIX to try, he was excited about the low sugar content— SIX is sweetened with agave which keeps the grams of sugar low while balancing the tartness if the lemon flavor.

Rather than C🐝D, CBG is used…

Why CBG?

It works synergistically with the TH🌊 in a way that promotes a better therapeutic outcome.

Potential benefits of taking both of these cannabinoids together:
• Stabilizes mood and eases anxiety
• Supports the digestive system
• Natural pain management
• TH🌊 promotes relaxation & CBG keeps your head clear

In the Charlotte area and want to be a taste tester?
↳ Send me a message

Currently, SIX is being sold through Green Compass in a case of 16 during this soft-launch period, and will be available in a 12-pack after 7/28.

New customers receive $10 off their first order with my code- Comment *SIX* below, and I’ll send you my link.

12 or 16 too much?

I’m selling SIX as a 4-pack for $25, at my Advocate price of $6.25 per can, and I currently have two of these 4-packs on-hand.

I can’t wait to sip this chill, sparkling lemonade with my buns in the sand on my beach vacation next week- I look forward to sharing my feedback with you then!

I hope you’re having a beautiful summer season!!

With Love, CB♡

*Not intended as medical advice, and you should always consult your physician with any health concerns.

**Due to the TH🌊 content, this product is recommended for 21+, and not recommended for pregnancy & breastfeeding.

★ Memorial Day ★

Without question, every day those who fight and have fought in protection & service of our country should be honored and respected.

Today, however, specifically remembers those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice of their lives in the name of our freedom.

A little known fact about me…

I served in Civil Air Patrol as a teenager.

Prior to participating in CAP, I would mistakenly, like many, wish people “Happy Memorial Day”, go to a bbq, and look forward to the unofficial start of summer, which also usually meant the [neighborhood] pool was opening.

While with CAP, I had the honor of helping with the Memorial Day events at Calverton National Cemetery, and it was then I first witnessed the true gravity of what Memorial Day represents.

For many, it is the furthest thing from a joyous holiday weekend to grill, drink beer, party, and watch NASCAR.

While grief has a constant ebb & flow, this weekend highlights that heartache for these people and families that have “lost” loved ones in the name of our nation’s freedom.

For me, it highlights the friends I grew up with that served in the aftermath of 9/11, forever changed with PTSD, and the friends and comrades of theirs that are no longer with us.

Never forget that our freedom comes with very hefty price, and as you enjoy any festivities with your friends and family, I offer you to bow your head in gratitude and prayer for your freedom to relax over the long weekend.

I pray for these families and hold them in my heart always, especially today!

Wishing you all a blessed Memorial Day, CB♡

For YEARS I considered sending out a newsletter for my business, but I kept holding off.

Why?

» I wasn’t sure it would be worth an investment…

I wasn’t aware that there are free options available, and once I found this out, it was a big relief.

» I wondered if I’d have the time

My first two newsletters took me the most time bc I was building them from scratch, but now I reuse those templates and update the information, which doesn’t take much time at all.

» What if it’s looked at like digital junk mail?

I enjoy informing my clients, and this gives me an opportunity to do exactly that- How they receive it is their business.

» Would I be able to come up with different content at least once a month?

I have certain information that I feature at the beginning & in the middle of the month, so it makes it easy to update with each new issue.

Personally, I don’t use AI to write or help edit my newsletters, but this tool can make this marketing tool more accessible to business owners who might need some help.

And, most of the newsletter apps/programs make it easy to pop in images, links, and any other information you want to get out to your audience.

Of course, you get more benefits & freedom with paid services, but I’m grateful the free version works for my business right now!

You definitely have to figure out what works for your unique situation…

I don’t like to get too many emails or texts myself, so I’ve opted to only send out 2 newsletters a month bc that’s what I feel most comfortable with.

Do you have a newsletter for your business, and if so, how is it working for you?

Want to be added to my list?

→ Send me a DM with your best email.

Wishing you all an excellent week ahead! ♡CB

I had a client recently compliment me on my realness after a session- She enjoys & appreciates the fact that I don’t hide who I truly am.

For me, Authenticity is one of my biggest core values.

I don’t care if someone doesn’t like me- I’m not for everyone, and that’s ok!

As long as I’m standing in my Truth, doing my best to do the “right” thing, and being respectful, that’s what matters most.

I love myself for who I am, and I feel good about how I live my life & raise my children.

Showing my true colors means sharing the highlights…and the darkness.

I am very protective of my energy and how I spend it, but that doesn’t mean I stay holed up in my house.

Because my energy is sensitive in nature, I tend more towards being introverted or one-on-one interaction, so it can be hard for me to put myself out there in bigger groups.

But I do put myself out there.

You may be asking if that goes against who I truly am…

Not at all!

It is my dharma (The path which God has laid before me.) to educate and help others feel better & inspired…

I choose to share my energy in this manner and feel fulfilled, not depleted, after.

Need tools to live more authentically?

A question I get asked regularly is why/how I became a Massage Therapist.

Initially, it was the very last thing I wanted to do as a career…

Some of you know that my mom has MS.

When I was younger, she got acupuncture, PT, & massage from time to time- She would sometimes take me and my brother in-tow, so I was around these types of therapies from a young age.

It’s always been in my nature to help people or animals, so when my mom’s back would spasm at home, I would massage her.

It’s always been within my hands & heart to do this work, but bc of my tough relationship with my mom, I rebelled against anything she thought I should do…

It was during my time at Suffolk doing my gen-Ed classes that I kept hearing + seeing ads for a local Massage Therapy program- They had an upcoming Open House.

What did I have to lose if I went?

So I did.

And, that’s when I fell in love with my profession.

I knew in my heart that it was where I belonged, so I changed career paths.

There’s not a day that goes by that I question whether or not I’m in the right line of work…

There’s an organic trust that I’m right where God intended me to be, and I am beyond blessed to feel this in my soul!

In my semi-retired life, I’ll probably do equine and/or canine massage, & snuggle NICU babies…

I absolutely love animals & babies, so being able to do those things will definitely keep my heart fulfilled.

I’m so grateful to understand what truly makes my heart sing, a blessing not many are in-tune to or allow in their lives.

I get to mix a couple of my passions in a little over a week:
‣ PetSuites Harrisburg Open House
‣ Saturday, 4/5
‣ 12-3pm
‣ This is a FREE Event!

I’ll have a Green Compass table for fur babies + their humans with free samples available, & education about helping all walks of life to find their Zen.

Comment with a 🐾 and I’ll send you more details!

Wishing you all a joyful week! ♡CB

I’m about to share with you the 3 things that keep my business thriving:

(1) Networking- My psychologist has always complimented me on my ability to network, and I am blessed to have this as a business strength.

Without my clients & professionals to collaborate with (Especially for my pediatric clients.), my business wouldn’t be here, and I couldn’t be more grateful for my community!

(2) The Law of Attraction- I have always been a believer in what you reap is what you sow, & I notice that when I am putting lots of [good] energy into my business, I get an amazing return.

If you put care & attention into your business, like nurturing a garden, it will grow and flourish.

(3) Green Compass- I signed on with an $180 investment as an Advocate over a year ago, and I’ve received what I put in more than ten-fold!

Not only did that fee cover my enrollment, but it also went towards products I use every day that improve my health in so many ways.

Aside from earning commissions, when you become part of the business that is Green Compass, there are a ton of FREE trainings and support available at your disposal.

These tools have not only helped grow my GC biz, but they also teach me things to grow ALL of my businesses, and the information I’ve learned on this path is truly invaluable.

My only regret is that I didn’t join Green Compass sooner…

Both for my own health & for the growth of my businesses, but I am so grateful now to be part of this community!

If you’re looking to add another stream of income with a company that not only supports you as one of their biz partners, but wants to see you grow holistically in all that you do, comment “community” on this post.

For new Advocates who join my team in March, you’ll also get 4 products for FREE, $250 value- This is one of the biggest promotions for new teammates that this company has ever done!

I know that I’m continuing to grow & thrive this year…

Will 2025 be your year to do the same?

Wishing you abundance in all good things! CB♡

Look at these babies!!

You can tell the picture is old (17 years!!) by the pixelation…

I recently came across some old photos of me & my best friend from massage school, Kylara.

Kylara and I have *finally* decided to partner up…

She owns Point Clear Wellness in Fort Mill, SC, and her clients have requested more prenatal + pediatric bodywork availability, so I’m jumping in to help meet that need.

Ky and I have always worked well together, and share a similar passion for our work and our clients- I am excited for this next chapter in my professional life!

I’ll be at Ky’s office once a week, beginning mid-March…

More details to come!!

Wishing you all a fantastic Friday, CB♡

My heart is in a conflicting place on this Valentine’s Day…

As I’ve been sharing, the mom of a pediatric family I see for bodywork has begun breast cancer treatment today.

I’ve known Bethany for almost 3 years, and she has trusted me to take care of her little ones, all while becoming a sweet friend of mine.

I’m doing my best to remain Faithful for her & with her, but I also admit that my heart is feeling a little broken and sad with the news of her difficult journey ahead.

The support and love towards her that my other clients and my friends have shown, though, fills my heart with such joy and gratitude! ♡

I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful community behind me and those I care about!!

Over this last week, it has also been Green Compass’s 6th birthday- Between Bethany’s news, a sick kiddo earlier this week, work, and normal life stuff, I haven’t posted much about any of that…

↑ Please head into my stories to learn more about that latest news from Green Compass + the last day of their anniversary sale.

I am so grateful for this community, and all who support me & my small business, today & every day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!! ♡CB

Within the last few months, I’ve had 3 friends diagnosed with breast cancer.

I share this post to bring awareness of how we, as practitioners, can support clientele and their breast health.

I am licensed in both NC & SC to do massage therapy, and I am a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist.

I have taken additional training in breast massage & lymphatic work in this area, so this type of bodywork certainly falls within my Scope of Practice.

These are situations I regularly encounter in my practice where breast massage might be indicated:

• Prenatal or breastfeeding clients
• ScarWork for [surgery] scar tissue in this area
• Assistance with lymphatic drainage
• Lomi Lomi- Breast draping is optional

I am also writing 3 continuing education courses, and one of them is on breast massage ethics, which I hope to teach later this year.

In light of my friends’ recent diagnoses, it’s reigniting that fire within me to finish writing this ethics class, and so when I finally do teach, this course will be dedicated to all 3 of them. ♡

Regulations for breast massage can vary from state to state:

At the time of this post, 14 states have rules & regulations for massaging the full breast, not restricted to medical issues, with client consent; NC requires verbal informed consent, but not written.

SC allows full breast massage with prior written consent from the client and/or physician referral, and requires physician referral for medical issues.

Curious about your state’s breast massage rules & regulations?

↓ Comment with your state’s name below & I’ll send you that info.

Wishing you all a healthful week ahead! ♡CB
