I met Ellie Mae today

She’s around 1.5 y/o
• we jogged
• she sniffed
• she played chase with the tennis ball (she LOVES playing chase, & proud to carry around the tennis ball )
• she wanted to eat the ice in the ice bath & by the end of our time, she was laying in it and drinking the melted ice.

She is full of energy, therefore she would do great with an active owner. She loved jogging to get her “boost of energy” out, then she would pull-less on the leash. She listened well on the leash,knows how to sit, gentle when accepting treats, loves her water, and likes to be close to her person.

She truly is a sweet dog! We had a great time in her 2 hours of roaming, gaining new smells and scenes!

Hair color formulas used to be numbers.

Now they sound like ☕️ orders. We made our own dessert.

This woman here, in 2022 unknowingly to her & myself would begin my journey of Mobile Hair for Seniors. I got the call from her daughter: would I be interested in coming to her since it’s hard for mom to get out. I said sure, I’m down! (Not my first rodeo with Seniors) Matter of fact, a client I had before I had my biz & continued once I had my biz, Ms. Elizabeth 94 y/o, tried to talk me into this then: I laughed and said “no.”

Being open to taking on the Aging Population as a client ( you know Updo’s & Color was all I cared about) never would I had imagined how my Biz model year after year would erode, turning me into the Hairstylist for Seniors. I can say, it led me to my Purpose & with excitement seeing how in different ways the Full Circle moments have happened.

This journey has helped me Grow up in so many ways. It’s led me on a journey to deal with a few of my
Biggest Challenges: Losing Control & Accepting Death.

I was forced to face, deal, accept, understand the Aging process & look death straight in its eye! It’s remarkable to me to think back in 2022 to Today of how I handle, talk and deal with death. It’s still not easy, it sucks, there’s an empty feeling, yet.. the memories, the wisdom taught, the stories told from the Chapters in their lives I get to hear about is what keeps me going. I am grateful enough I am called to be apart of last Chapters on Earth. I am grateful this journey led me on a journey to opening myself up to possibilities outside of myself & work, facing my own demons & truths, understanding myself WAAYYYYYY more than I could had EVER imagined! And knowing in a world of selfishness, greed, control, negativity & traumas.. I get to daily work where none of this matters. It’s about positivity, bringing joy, “feel good moments,” happiness, dignity, someone to converse with and hope to someone’s day all by Hair. That’s it. Just Hair. When all they have to look forward to is hair, your mind shifts to what Grateful looks like.

And extra special with our dog child! She was only so into gifts this year. She opened her presents and back on the couch she went. She was absolutely in love with her Christmas dinner though!

Who dis?! I feel like I’m a specialist in Dementia already. Yet, when I get approached to take a Dementia certification class (eventho I’m non-traditional, so technically I didn’t get the certification) I take it! I wanted to see what I could understand more, what I didn’t know & see how much I actually knew.

As of immediate, ERMc Hairstylist will be updating service pricing. Like many small businesses, we’ve experienced significant increases in product and operating costs. To continue providing you with high-quality services, the following adjustments will take place:
• Haircuts: 10% increase
• Color & Chemical Services: 20% increase
• Payment Fees: Venmo processing fees will be ENFORCED to cover transaction costs

Yesterday’s visit was one for the books! 💕

Meet my beautiful new client — 94 years young and glowing after her fresh wash & cut 💇🏽‍♀️✨
Ignore the sneaky, unflattering pics of me (didn’t know I was being photographed lol — but hey, it’s not about me 😅).

When her daughter called asking if I could “just come wash her hair,” I ran through a few ways to make it work — and mentioned a reclining wheelchair as a game changer. She ordered it right away, and BOOM 💥 it arrived just in time for our appointment.

Let me tell you, this chair is amazing:

I stood right in the shower with her reclined back and gave her a proper wash — which turned into a full haircut too! This is what I mean by personalized, in-home hair care with love and creativity 💗
