Tracy Fiore-Hair NERD

NOTHING and I mean NOTHING will stop your hair appointment. The water main broke under the sidewalk last week, and it took almost 2 days to fix. We hauled 5 gallon coolers full of hot water across the parking lot filled from the apartment building’s pet wash station, Jared MacGyvered a sump pump into a 5 gallon cooler and piped that directly into the hot water heater. It was controlled mayhem!

These are reasonable questions and concerns. The answers depend on a lot of things, and so do the solutions. Wanna talk about it?

I’ve been struggling a little bit with my personal life lately, but I got a request to do this and so I came in on Saturday for this delightful young woman and let me tell you, the 5+ hours I spent painting rainbows was just what I needed! She’s just a doll of a human and painting her hair filled me with so much joy! We both love how it turned out, hope you do too! Color by Elumen. 🌈

On my days out of the salon, I tackle home improvement projects. This weekend involved climbing a 2 story scaffolding to paint window frames, and this… Mortise locks are simple mechanisms that somehow thwart me. It’s not so much the locks as the strike plates, I guess. Or perhaps it’s 94 years of paint layers that keep the doors from properly closing and locking. So I’ve spent about 5 hours trying to get a functional lock for the downstairs bathroom door and still no dice. I DID get 3 cute skeleton keys from The Refindery on McCallie… BUT I think I’d rather be doing extensions!

Throwing back to this beautiful elopement bride from 2025, I just wish I had a picture of her pretty face!

Sometimes the most challenging haircuts are the bestest! This is my delightful and delicious nephew Oliver, graciously allowing me to test my speed, and agility on a moving target, WITH scissors!! ✂️ 😂
