This is deeply concerning and something we cannot simply ignore.

I have built a successful career in esthetics over the past 20 years, and access to financing and education played an important role in making that career possible. Esthetics is a legitimate profession that provides meaningful careers, supports families, creates businesses, and contributes significantly to the beauty and wellness industry.

When government decisions or policies suggest that our profession is not capable of producing sufficient income to justify educational or financial support, we need to speak up.

This is not just about estheticians. It is about recognizing the value of skilled trades and professional careers that may not follow a traditional four-year college path.

We need to make our voices heard. Contact your local representatives. Share your experiences. Explain how this profession has supported you, your employees, your families, and your communities.

We have every right to advocate for our profession and to expect policymakers to understand the economic reality of esthetics before making decisions that directly affect our future.

This is the time to speak up, get involved, and make sure our voices are heard.
