What to know about the Petty Butter Preorder (June 4th-13th)

AND WE BACK!

Petty Butter will be switching to a drop/ made-to-order model (think of Telfar). There will only be 1-2 products available at a time with a 4-6 week turnaround time.

Why? -
This is a lot more manageable for me as a small business. I am able to gauge demand for each product as I build out a new business plan. It is also easier to manage inventory. This insures that patrons are getting freshly made products from freshly ordered ingredients. And 4-6 weeks is a realistic turnaround time that accommodates for my labor, time, and capacity.

Lastly, Petty Butter prices are increasing. First and foremost, I have to value the amount of work I put into Petty Butter. On my own, I conceptualize, produce, ship, market, and make art for Petty Butter. I have to compensate myself for ALL the time I spend. Additionally as Petty Butter legitimizes, the price of production has increased as I factor in the costs of a shared kitchen rental, insurance, licenses, and more. In order to grow at reasonable pace and eventually hire help, I have to increase the price of Petty Butter. While I want to make an accessible product, I need to respect the quality and craft of the product I make.
