LIFE EVENTS
1983 Original Hoa Lan Salon opened at 5000 block of N. Broadway, operated by Hoa and Lan Vuong, Marc's parents
1985 Hoa Lan Salon moved to a new location on Argyle.
1987 Hoa and Lan purchased their current salon space at 1059 West Argyle.
1984 - 1987 brothers Co, Phil, and Marc join their parents as trained cosmetologists
1993 Marc and his wife Tanja graduate from beauty school in California
2009 The 3 brothers take over the Hoa Lan Salon upon retirement of their parents
2010 The Salon receives a complete makeover and upgrade
2011 The salon is chosen to represent prestigious Aveda products
2012 Marc becomes active and is elected to the board of the Special Services Area, a community development organization dedicated to stimulating growth along Argyle Street through better auto and bike transit, security, façade improvements, and other commercial and economic development initiatives.
2014 The “New” SALON M is born with brothers Marc, Phil and Co continuing the tradition of operating at the highest professional level.
