Today we honor Juneteenth — a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward equality.

June 19th marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in the United States were informed of their freedom — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It is both a celebration of liberation and a reminder of the work that continues.

As a small business, I believe in community, respect, and creating a welcoming space for everyone who sits in my chair. Today is a moment to reflect, to learn, and to honor the strength and contributions of Black Americans throughout history and today.
