Allow Nourishment
Healthy skin is our mission.
Sometimes it feels like you've tried everything.
The expensive products.
The 10-step routines.
The "miracle" ingredients.
And somehow... your skin is still begging for help.
What if the goal isn't to fight your skin—but to support it?
Your skin already knows how to protect and repair itself. Sometimes it just needs the right environment to do what it was designed to do.
That's why we believe in simple ingredients, a healthy skin barrier, and giving your skin nourishment instead of more stress.
Your skin doesn't always need more.
Sometimes it just needs less.
Skincare doesn't have to be a full-time job.
Somewhere along the way, we were convinced that healthy skin meant more products, more steps, and more ingredients.
But for many people, the answer isn't adding more—it's supporting your skin with what it actually needs.
That's always been our philosophy at Allow Nourishment: simple, nourishing ingredients that work *with* your skin, not against it.
Because sometimes you just want to find what works... and move on with your life.
✨ Who else is ready to simplify their routine?
Most people think moisturizer *creates* hydration.
It doesn't.
If your skin is still feeling tight, flaky, or dry after moisturizing, the issue may not be your moisturizer—it may be that your skin needs water first.
Think of it this way: moisturizer helps reduce water loss by supporting your skin barrier. But if your skin is dehydrated to begin with, there's not much to hold onto.
That's why I always recommend applying a hydrating mist first, then following with your moisturizer while your skin is still slightly damp.
That's exactly why we created Born Again Mist. It was designed to give your skin a lightweight layer of hydration so your moisturizer can do what it's meant to do.
Sometimes it's not about adding more products.
It's about using them in the right order.
Have you ever applied moisturizer and still felt dry 10 minutes later?

Most people think healthy skin comes from finding the right product.
But healthy skin starts with something much simpler:
A healthy skin barrier.
Your skin was designed with an incredible protective system that works around the clock to keep moisture in, irritants out, and everything in balance. When that barrier is damaged, it often shows up as dryness, redness, sensitivity, breakouts, or irritation—not because your skin is failing, but because it's trying to protect itself.
The goal isn't always to add more.
Sometimes it's to stop taking away what your skin has been trying to hold onto all along.
Understanding your skin changes everything. 💛
Next week, we're diving into the natural lipids that make up your skin barrier—and why they're so important.
Save this post so you can come back to it as we build on this series.
One of the biggest things I've learned after years of studying skin is this:
Healthy skin isn't built by collecting products.
It's built by protecting your skin barrier.
When you stop throwing everything at your face and start supporting what your skin was created to do, amazing things can happen. Sometimes, less really is more.
If you need Google to pronounce half the ingredients… it might be time to rethink your moisturizer. 👀
Simple doesn't mean ineffective. Sometimes it means giving your skin exactly what it needs—and nothing it doesn't.
Life gets a whole lot richer when you stop building someone else's dream and start building your own. It won't be easy, but creating something from nothing changes you in ways a paycheck never can.
Imagine spending hundreds on a 47-ingredient moisturizer...
..when your skin falls in love with two. 🤍
This is what happens when you don't read the instructions...
When we say a little Emoo goes a LONG way… we mean it. Emu oil is made up largely of fatty acids, including oleic acid, and its lipid profile plays a role in how easily it spreads across and interacts with the skin's lipid barrier.
Translation: you do NOT need to frost your face with it!
A small amount spreads beautifully and is all you need. Use half the jar like Jake here and you may find yourself 10 minutes deep into a full-body moisturizing session wondering why it “won't rub in.”
Start small. You can always add more.
✨ The Emoo isn't the problem. Jake is the problem. ✨
I didn't spend years cleaning up the products in my home just to get reckless on a girls' trip 👙
The tallow gets a spot in the bag. No questions asked. 🐄🤎
