Reality is: Hair is a LUXURY not a Necessity.
Us stylists know this, we know we aren’t essential.
But this is our career, we spent $20,000+ to go to school alone. We take 2 state board exams (that we pay for). We buy all our own tools including: blow dryers, curling/flat irons, brushes, combs, shears etc. which is THOUSANDS more. And this is all before we start working behind the chair.
Then we pay additional money every year to continue our education to ensure we stay up with the trends and deliver results that all our clients are happy with.

All of this to say: most of us don’t go into this industry and career thinking we will make millions. It’s a passion to create art, make women (and men) feel beautiful and love their selves again and love what we do everyday. But it comes with a cost to us, to make your dreams a reality.

Don’t make your stylist feel bad about their pricing, if it doesn’t align with your budget, find someone who is, you will find your person. We are making a living just like you.
