Give your muscles the ultimate reset with a magnesium float. Magnesium plays an important role in normal muscle and nerve function, helping muscles relax after contraction and supporting the body’s natural recovery processes. Combined with warm, weightless water, a magnesium-rich float can help ease the feeling of muscle tension, reduce the sensation of soreness, and promote deep relaxation. With gravity and pressure taken out of the equation, your body can truly unwind—leaving you feeling lighter, looser, and restored.
Cold plunging may look intimidating at first, but don’t let the cold fool you—those first few moments of discomfort often give way to some incredible benefits. You don’t have to be an extreme athlete to enjoy it, and even a few minutes can make a difference.
Some of the most common benefits include:
* ❄️ Reduced muscle soreness and faster recovery after exercise
* 💙 Decreased inflammation and temporary relief from aches and pains
* ⚡ Increased energy, alertness, and mental clarity
* 😊 A natural mood boost from the release of endorphins
* 🧠 Improved stress resilience by teaching your body to stay calm under pressure
* ❤️ Better circulation as your body warms back up
* 💪 Greater mental toughness and confidence from doing something challenging
* 🌙 Better sleep for many people after regular cold exposure
* 🔥 Activation of brown fat, which may support healthy metabolism
If you’ve never tried a cold plunge, remember that everyone starts somewhere. The goal isn’t to stay in the water the longest—it’s simply to show up, breathe, and let your body adapt. Most people are surprised by how accomplished, energized, and refreshed they feel afterward.
The hardest part is often taking the first step. Once you do, you may discover that the benefits extend far beyond the water.
Welcome to Salt & Sea Wellness Spa

Whether you’re melting away tension with a therapeutic massage, floating effortlessly in our sensory deprivation float tank, breathing deeply in our Himalayan salt room, relaxing in the warmth of our infrared sauna, or treating yourself to a rejuvenating facial or body treatment, every experience is thoughtfully designed to restore balance to your body, calm your mind, and renew your spirit.
We believe self-care is more than an occasional indulgence—it’s an essential part of living well. That’s why every service is personalized with genuine care, allowing you to experience wellness in a way that fits your unique needs and goals.
At Salt & Sea, you’ll find more than a spa. You’ll find a peaceful retreat where you can let go of stress, embrace stillness, and leave feeling lighter, refreshed, and deeply restored.
Come as you are. Leave renewed.
Buccal massage is a specialized facial massage technique that works the muscles of the cheeks from both the outside of the face and the inside of the mouth (using gloved hands). The pterygoid muscles (the medial and lateral pterygoids) are two deep muscles involved in chewing and jaw movement. When they become tight, strained, or develop trigger points, they can produce symptoms that are surprisingly widespread because they’re closely connected to the jaw joint (TMJ) and surrounding muscles.
Common symptoms include:
* Jaw pain or aching, especially deep inside the cheek
* Pain near the TMJ (just in front of the ear)
* Clicking, popping, or locking of the jaw
* Difficulty opening the mouth fully or moving the jaw side to side
* Pain when chewing, especially tougher foods
* Teeth clenching or grinding (bruxism), or soreness after doing so. Because the pterygoid muscles are deep, they can be difficult to reach externally. A trained massage therapist, physical therapist, or provider experienced in intraoral (buccal) massage can sometimes release these muscles more effectively. This is often combined with treatment of the masseter, temporalis, and neck muscles, since they work together.
Don’t worry! When it’s time to get out, you’ll know. Until then, just lay back and enjoy your peace and quiet time.
