Deep tissue and therapeutic massage aren't necessarily the same thing.
Deep tissue generally describes techniques using slower, more focused pressure to work with deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue.
Therapeutic massage is about the goal.

DEEPER DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN BETTER. 💆‍♀️
One of the biggest misconceptions about therapeutic massage is that it has to hurt to work.
It doesn’t.
The goal is to use the right amount of pressure for your body and what we’re trying to accomplish. Sometimes deeper pressure is appropriate. Other times, slower and more targeted work can be much more effective.
And please—tell me if something is too much! 😂 You will never offend me by asking for less pressure.
Good massage is a conversation between your body and your therapist—not a test of how much pain you can tolerate. 🌿
