When I was 5, my parents took me to Disney World. My little brother was too small to go. I remember nearly everything about that trip, but especially when we were exiting the gate at the Cleveland airport, because he ran toward me with a single silk flower: a Tiffany rose. My grandmother must have bought it for him to give to me and I still have it somewhere. I made a Tiffany rose soap in the signature peach/pink color these roses are known for. Dropping on the site soon.

Favorite February indulgence: my new subscription to the Franco-American newspaper, .3 which has me slowing down in the best ways. I love the recipes, the return to my first love as an Art Historian, and the beautiful tactile quality of this paper. Printed in Paris, it’s right at home in my home and has me inspired to enjoy all the details that make My Pineapple Home and lifestyle special.

New jars for these new favorites. Several of these are heading out this week. It’s the perfect time for a rich body cream loaded with skin-loving oils and butters like squalane, cocoa butter, avocado butter, rose extract, and sunflower oil.

Some of this came from my grandmother, some I just made at a pottery studio, and the rest is thrown together from various places.
