Taking a moment to recharge in the Japanese countryside 🌿

Hakone, Mount Fuji, Japanese countryside, onsen under the mountains and food that reminded me why the Japanese approach to nourishment is in a league of its own.

There is something about being here that slows everything down in the best possible way. The hot springs, the mountain air, the attention to every single detail — in the food, in the spaces, in how people care for themselves and each other. It feels deeply familiar to what we try to bring to every session at Pulse.

Restoration is not a luxury. It is how we show up fully — for ourselves and for the people we care for.

Recharged and back in Williamsburg soon đź—»

What is electroacupuncture and why might it be part of your treatment?

Electroacupuncture combines traditional acupuncture with gentle electrical stimulation applied between selected acupuncture needles.

Depending on your individual needs and treatment plan, electroacupuncture may be used as part of care for:

✅ Pain management
✅ Muscle tension and discomfort
✅ Musculoskeletal concerns
✅ Certain nerve-related symptoms
✅ Supporting rehabilitation and recovery

At Pulse Acupuncture, treatment is never one-size-fits-all.

Your practitioner assesses your symptoms, health history, and goals before determining whether traditional acupuncture, electroacupuncture, cupping, Gua Sha, moxibustion, or another approach may be appropriate.

In this Reel, you can see what an electroacupuncture session can actually look like.

Do your legs feel tired, tight, or uncomfortable after a long day?

Long hours on your feet, repetitive activity, exercise, prolonged sitting, and other factors can all contribute to discomfort in the legs.

At Pulse Acupuncture, we start by looking at your individual symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and treatment goals.

Depending on your needs, your personalized treatment approach may incorporate acupuncture, electroacupuncture, cupping, Gua Sha, moxibustion, and other TCM techniques.

The important part is understanding why you’re experiencing the symptoms. Persistent or unexplained leg pain, particularly when accompanied by swelling, weakness, numbness, skin changes, or sudden onset may require medical assessment.
