New Flat Closure Study in Body Image Journal A new study on patients' flat closure experiences by lead author Tracy Tyner has just been published in the prestigious journal Body Image!

3 weeks post-op total knee replacement.

It's been a hard three weeks, and I'm healing. My leg is getting stronger, and the paralysis in my foot is starting to slowly get better.

I started doing my scar treatments as soon as the medical tape came off. My goal is to reduce the appearance of the scar to where it's unnoticeable.

My scars heal raised and dark. It's important that as my scar heals, I treat it with the utmost respect.
1. I'm using the scar kit (full-size products) twice a day.
2. Staying out of the sun to help keep melanin production down in the area.
3. Staying hydrated.
4. Protecting the area from undue pulling or stress.

New knee. Now, the healing starts the next 4-6 weeks, and I will be out of the studio.

When women camp!

This weekend, I had a beautiful group of ladies camp on my property. Our tradition is to buy the hostess a small gift as a thank you.

This year, I asked just to cover supplies and be part of gifting ar**la tattoos to women who otherwise wouldn't afford the final step in cancer recovery.

These ladies gave more than I could have asked for! I will donate my skill and time, and my girlfriends have covered the supplies !

Scar update!

I started this scar a couple of years ago and forgot to post a hello photo. This is the healed scar today after 1 treatment. I will do another treatment on the hyperpigmentation, but look how thin and smooth the scar and bellybutton are!
