As a small business owner, I get to live on both sides of this.

Those little things aren't little when you're the person behind the business.

And because I know how much they mean to me, I've made it a principle of mine to give that same love back. I share other makers' work. I comment. I recommend them. I buy from them when I can. I tell people when I think they've made something wonderful.

Partly because it just feels GOOD to cheer for people who are out there creating something with their own two hands.

But I also believe that kind of support ripples.

This is exactly the time of year I start reaching for Breathe Easy again. It's one of those Bee Farmee seasonal go-tos that earns its spot nearby when the outdoors is beautiful... but your nose has some opinions about it.

Made with aromatic botanicals and created with my aromatherapist brain fully engaged, Breathe Easy is an easy little companion to keep around through allergy season.

Because I would very much like to enjoy fall without personally fighting every plant in Oklahoma.

💗 SELF CARE SUNDAY

Self care has gotten awfully complicated, hasn't it?

Somewhere along the way, it became something we're supposed to schedule, accomplish, photograph, and maybe even feel guilty about not doing often enough.

But I don't think it has to be another thing on the to-do list.

Sometimes self care is simply noticing what you need today and giving yourself a little bit of it. Maybe that's a long shower and your favorite body oil afterward. Maybe it's making a cup of tea and actually drinking it while it's still hot. Maybe it's opening the windows, putting on an aroma you love, going to bed early, or deciding that something can absolutely wait until tomorrow.

As an aromatherapist, I obviously love the rituals—the botanicals, the aromas, the way something as simple as caring for your skin can become a few quiet minutes that belong entirely to you.

But you don't need a product to practice self care.

You just need to remember that you are also someone worth taking care of.

So whatever Sunday looks like at your house today, leave a little room in it for yourself.

You deserve softness, too. 💗🐝

Ash and I—Carrie Beth—are the proud owners of Farm Hippie Farmers Market, and since opening Bee Farmee in 2018, our passion for reducing waste has only grown deeper.

Over the years, I've thought a LOT about the packaging that comes along with the products I make. Bottles. Jars. Tins. Labels. All perfectly useful—and all things we could potentially use again instead of replacing every single time.

So beginning in October 2026, our newest in-store business, The Farm Hippie Fillery, is going to help fill that need locally!

The Fillery will be an Oklahoma-made zero waste shop located inside Farm Hippie Claremore, where you'll be able to purchase products by weight and refill containers instead of buying brand-new packaging every time.

And YES... Bee Farmee will be there. 🐝

Okay, we think it’s time to answer some questions. 👀♻️

The Farm Hippie Fillery is starting to look less like a construction project and a whole lot more like Oklahoma’s first Oklahoma-only zero waste shop.

And as we’ve shared little peeks along the way, you guys have had QUESTIONS. So let’s answer a few!

🌿 What exactly IS The Farm Hippie Fillery?

It’s our take on a zero waste/refill shop—built entirely around the Oklahoma farmers, growers, producers and makers we already love.

Instead of buying another bottle, bag or package every time you need something, many Fillery products will allow you to refill a container and buy only what you need.

♻️ Do I have to bring my own containers?
Nope! You’ll be welcome to bring clean, appropriate containers from home, but we’ll also have containers available for purchase.

⚖️ How does it work?
For products sold by weight, you’ll weigh your empty container first, fill it with as much or as little as you’d like, weigh it again, grab the reusable product tag beside the item and bring everything to the register.

We’ll take it from there!

🥣 Is EVERYTHING sold by weight?
Nope—and this has been one of the fun parts of building this thing!
Some products will be scooped. Some poured. Some pumped. Some will be sold individually, and others may come as pre-measured refills.

We’re choosing the system that actually makes sense for each product rather than trying to force everything into the same mold.

🌾 What kinds of products will be there?
Pantry staples. Grains. Spices and herbs. Snacks. Laundry products. Household cleaners. Bath and body goods. And quite a bit more that we haven’t shown you yet. 👀

🧑‍🌾 What makes this different from other refill shops?
This is the part we’re most excited about.
The Fillery is OKLAHOMA ONLY.

We aren't filling these dispensers with products from national bulk suppliers just to fill space.

The products you'll find here are grown, produced or manufactured by the Oklahoma farmers, growers and makers who make Farm Hippie what it is.
