Sausage curls to me are a sign of a strongly curled set!

I am all about setting your hair curls and letting them cool before brushing them out. So I curl before I leave for work and then I brush them out once I make it in to the salon.

I prefer to take my time the first day of curls and truly set them and they last me much longer! I also am a big believer in a working hairspray to help it hold!

So really, how often do you want to sit in my chair?

Such a weird question, right? I mean your dentist and doctor don’t ask it?

But really, we are trying to be realistic and help make the right game plan for your hair that day so you love it long term. I promise our ask is for good reason! And don’t be afraid to be brutally honest with us and tell us a realistic time frame for your lifestyle and budget.

Being a working mom, especially one who owns their own small business and is a self-proclaimed workaholic is really freaking hard. And no one talks about it. I feel like it’s gotten better, but let’s be real guys. The balance is hard.

As I sit back and look around my house filled with bags and boxes of college gear and I’m constantly having to check another box of things to do before we take Eastyn to college, I also want to reflect and be proud of the path it took to get here and I also want to remind all of you out there who are in the struggle that it’s OK to be frustrated and it’s OK to make those sacrifices and it’s also important to set goals promises boundaries for yourself.

Okay so here’s my total review of the Olivia Garden 1” curling iron.

Overall, I liked it. It’s a great barrel length for long hair, I like the temperature controls and the handle is comfortable.

My curls lasted all day and didn’t fall.
