One of the things I love most about being back in my own suite is being able to give my clients the level of care, attention, and patience they truly deserve. In many traditional nail salon settings, there’s little to no consultation about a client’s medical conditions or specific needs before services begin, which can make it difficult for some clients to receive the proper level of care and attention.
My most recent pedicure client is battling cancer, restless leg syndrome, diabetes, and has also suffered multiple strokes. One side of his body is extremely sensitive while the other has little to no feeling, so every step of the service required extra care and attention. In a traditional salon setting, clients with complex health concerns are often overlooked — and language barriers or rushed consultations can prevent them from receiving the proper care they need.
For me, this is deeper than nails. It’s about creating a safe, comfortable experience for every client who sits in my chair.
