Wanted to give the first ever LinFitity Training spotlight post to my first ever client, my uncle Corey Hesson
Back in November of 2016 he came to me with an idea about running the Spartan Race in May of 2017. The left picture is when he came to me with the idea. He was sitting around 350lbs then. He asked me to help him out to not only prepare for this huge challenge, but also because he wanted to feel and look better overall. To be honest, I was very nervous to help because he was the first person I took in to train, and with a deadline of 6 months before the race, I didn’t think I would make much of an impact. But he believed that I could, just as much as I believed that if I told him what he needed to do, he would get it done.
I wrote him up his very own meal plan every 3 weeks, gave him a supplement plan and made him a new workout plan every week. Him living a little over an hour away, I was basically his online coach. Which honestly made me more nervous to go with training him.
He trained his ass off and stuck to his diet for 6 months and his results are what you see to the picture in the right. The day OF the race. He was sitting at 260lbs there!! He worked 70+ hours a week and took care of his family during this process. He had PLENTY of excuses NOT to go to the gym and train or cook his food for the week. But he didn’t use any. His determination, discipline and having motivation from the right people made all the difference in his transformation!
