“Can I wear my extensions straight?” This is a common question and the answer is absolutely YES! Custom coloring of the wefts combined with a custom cut creates such a seamless blend that you can wear them straight or curled. I colored the wefts to match the gorgeous color created for this guest and I installed two rows of using method

If you hop in the shower with tangles, as soon as water hits your hair, it can create a matted mess. This is especially true for my extension babes. ⁣

Gently brush your hair starting at the ends and working your way up until it’s free of tangles. Then it will be so much easier to shampoo and distribute your favorite conditioner throughout your hair.⁣

If you’ve seen my stories recently, you know I got extensions in April.⁣

I’ve always had fine hair but a good bit of it and could add volume with a good cut, styling and products. ⁣

When my 2-year-old was around 5 months old, my hair started coming out in handfuls in the shower! I didn’t freak out because I knew postpartum hairloss is normal and pretty common, but it’s still a little unnerving when you have fine hair to begin with.⁣

The hair loss stopped after a few months and pretty soon I had little baby hairs growing back in, but my ends were SO stringy. ⁣

Flash forward to a few months ago. I had just had my youngest baby, holding onto 10 lbs from my first pregnancy and another 10 lbs from my second. Needless to say, I was not “feeling myself.”⁣

I had considered getting IBE whenever I started offering them but just hadn’t pulled the trigger yet due to there not being a stylist nearby for a long time, then getting busy and having a hard time with doing anything for myself. If you’re a mom, you know how hard it is to take time for self-care! ⁣

When we booked a spring break trip to Chattanooga, I said, “That’s it! I’m getting extensions while we’re there!” I found on the locator map and booked my appointment.⁣

Can I just tell you how much confidence this hair gave me?! My hair looks good even on days when all I did was brush it. My style holds all week long. My hair has never been this long since I was in 4th grade. I can do cute, thick ponytails and braids. She did not color my hair at this appointment, but the extensions gave me so much dimension and made my blonde pop! And my stringy ends are stringy no more!⁣

My youngest baby is now 4 months old, and I’m starting to see some signs of postpartum hair loss again (I’ll touch more on that later this week), but I know that I don’t have to worry about hating my thinning hair because of extensions.⁣

It’s not just hair y’all!⁣

𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: one of my most favorite parts of being a hairstylist.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you are in my chair, we will go over issues or challenges that you may be having with your hair, whether it’s dryness, styling issues or thinning, and I will give you my recommendation on what I believe will best help us solve those issues. ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I will never try to “sell” you something. You know those people who can sell ice to an eskimo? Yeah, that’s just not me. My job is simply to educate you and offer solutions to your hair troubles. ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is where extensions came into play for me. Being certified in IBE lets me give my guests’ just one more solution to common hair problems: thinning, not enough dimension, wanting a color change without the damage. ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
IBE can help solve all that and more. It is just one more thing in my arsenal that helps me work with you to achieve your dream hair! ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This beautiful guest struggles with significant hair loss caused by alopecia. After extensive consultation, we were able to come up with a game plan to give her some extra fullness she was missing. We were also able to add more lightness to her ends using mostly the extension hair and very minimal coloring to her natural hair. ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

𝐓𝐢𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you struggle with pesky frizzies around your face or do your bangs ever do that weird bumpy thing that you just can't style into submission no matter how many times you flat iron it? If you have a cowlick or widow's peak, you know what I'm talking about!⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Try blowdrying the hair around your hairline first before anything else. These hairs tend to airdry the fastest and will almost always be dry if you save them until last, and we all know once they dry, it's over unless you're going to re-wet them.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instead, try blowdrying this section of your hair first before they have a chance to dry on their own. This will give you a smoother blowout with less frizzies and will help you to have better control of your bang area.
